Rupert Graves plays Jason who drove the exchange students to France

Robert lindsy is a mysterious X expat Andrew

Lieutenant Virginia Taylor, is a local detective who makes it her mission to help Sarah find Katie

Binged the lot in one sitting! Was a bit wooden acting wise and disappointed that Graves and Lindsey weren't given more to do. Sarah annoyed me with her constant "Katy-ing" - it's one if those programmes that you have to suspend belief for I feel. Pretty to look at though. I knew Jason was going to be iffy. Nice to see Rupert Graves in something. Being ancient, I remember him from Room with a View, which I think was his first biggish role.

Well I liked it, and I thought they tied it up pretty well, although assuming Katie going along with Odile's mum's plan is a bit of a stretch. But the point of the "help me" text was to encourage Sarah to head straight to France, so she could have told Katie, don't worry, your Mum will be around, and when we get the police on track, it'll be sorted.

But Benoit was obviously up to something dodgy. Is that the hopeful peg for another series?

I loved it. No matter how far fetched the outcome, the ride was good. Loved Sarah as a character

Watched the first 15 minutes, going to go read my book and bed now. Will watch the rest tomorrow. Subtitles might work tomorrow as well

Sub-titles worked for me, I always have them on. But I'm on Virgin Media, don't know if that makes any difference.

I watch through Sky. Subtitles are there if I watch live or a recording. But if I download they are not.

watched it all. Ending was a bit of an anticlimax and far fetched (usual for channel 5). But it made me want to holiday somewhere like that. The village/town was so pretty. Anyone know where it was filmed.

@lazymum99 - The filming for this fictional village did actually take place in the real French area called Montpellier, including all the scenes that were supposed to take place in Britain, such as Sarah's home and when she drops Katie off for the trip at her school.
Montpellier is in the south of France and is just 10km inland from the Mediterranean Sea, with filming taking place in the surrounding areas of the city. The show also filmed in the village of Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert.

Just watched , waiting for a food delivery 😜. No subtitles on 5 player . But better than not being able to access it at all a week ago .

It's ridiculous that Katie would just accept that that person was just saying she needs to stay with her and pretend she's been taken and it seemed like they were trying to portray that Katie was like 'oh yes I don't mind doing that'

What was the theme tune, drove me mad listening to that familiar tune and trying to put the words to it. Google didn't reveal anything so if anyone knows please assist.

I liked the happy ending, though can't believe Jerome would've done that to poor Serge. What a sleaze Jason was and that teacher seemed a bit weird too. Lots of red herrings!

Finished this last night. It really was a pile of old tripe. I’m not sure how the nice detective - Virginie - didn’t murder Katie’s mother. She was an absolute pain in the arse trying to muscle in on everything the detective did and as a PP said upthread, it didn’t matter if people were dying or even if they were dead, still she badgered the poor detective asking if they knew what had happened to Katie!

I thought this was one of the more enjoyable drama series of its type. Lovely scenery. Yes it was far fetched but aren't they all! The mother and female detective both have lovely eyes.

It kept us guessing so yes was good

I'm a huge Joanna Scanlan fan but this was AWFUL, her character was absolutely DIRE!
