The new season will see Simm joined once again by fellow cast members Richie Campbell (Glenn Branson), Zoë Tapper (Cleo Moray), Laura Elphinstone (Bella Moy), Brad Morrison (Nick Nicholl) and Juliette Motamed (Vee Wilde).

Meanwhile, guest stars this time around will include Grantchester's Rishi Nair, Showtrial's Ali Khan, Ackley Bridge's Gurjeet Singh, Blue Lights star Hannah McClean, DI Ray's Tamla Kari and The Killing Kind's Sara Powell.

The last season of the show came to a dramatic end, with Grace's boss and nemesis Assistant Chief Constable Cassian Pewe, played by Sam Hoare, being revealed as a corrupt cop (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/grace-season-5-episode-3-twist-newsupdate/), who had been having an affair with Grace's dead wife, Sandy.

After revealing a host of new details about Sandy's disappearance and her gambling debts, which left her at the mercy of the Benchdale OCG.

Really looking forward to this! One of the few shows DH and I watch together. They use our town for lots of location filming so it's always fun to spot places we know

Thanks. Can’t remember if Pewe is arrested at the end and I seem to remember some book differences as have read a couple. But may well be getting mixed up. I was always getting Dalziel & Pascoe books and tv series mixed up as they really differed.

I’m hoping the whole Benchdale (?) thing following from Sandy doesn’t continue. But I suppose that depends on the books and I can’t remember but haven’t read them all and was ages ago. I use to get very confused with Dalziel & Pascoe when the show started to veer away from the books.

Brilliant. I really enjoyed that. I love this series.

I love Grace. Have been to Brighton many times and recognise the area. I wasn’t blown away by that episode last night.

Previous series was great especially the coffin one.
