The new season will see Simm joined once again by fellow cast members Richie Campbell (Glenn Branson), Zoë Tapper (Cleo Moray), Laura Elphinstone (Bella Moy), Brad Morrison (Nick Nicholl) and Juliette Motamed (Vee Wilde).

Meanwhile, guest stars this time around will include Grantchester's Rishi Nair, Showtrial's Ali Khan, Ackley Bridge's Gurjeet Singh, Blue Lights star Hannah McClean, DI Ray's Tamla Kari and The Killing Kind's Sara Powell.

The last season of the show came to a dramatic end, with Grace's boss and nemesis Assistant Chief Constable Cassian Pewe, played by Sam Hoare, being revealed as a corrupt cop (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/grace-season-5-episode-3-twist-newsupdate/), who had been having an affair with Grace's dead wife, Sandy.

After revealing a host of new details about Sandy's disappearance and her gambling debts, which left her at the mercy of the Benchdale OCG.

As Roy and Branson take steps to verify Cassian's intel about Sandy's murder, the body of student Charlie Downing is found in a sea lock, and Grace must find out who wanted this young woman dead. As the team investigates the campus, it becomes clear that the university harbours secrets that could be connected to Charlie's death. Grace soon has his sights set on a killer who will stop at nothing to prevent one particular truth from getting out

Just wondered if anyone recorded Episode 1 starting a 9pm on ITV+1?

Asking because for some reason it has Audio Description, which I didn't set and doesn't show as the default.

I tried watching it on ITVX but with the amount of ads, and me finding it quite boring I just gave up!

But I like to have series in reserve for when there really isn't anything worth watching.

@IwantToRetire Yes! I had exactly this issue. I went into settings and turned the audio description on (not off) which stopped it. Very odd. Hope that works for you.

I enjoyed it tonight, although didn't really follow what was going on with Vee and her dad.

Tonight’s was much better than last week’s.

Poor Bruno overhearing that. And I can never decide if Cleo is happy to be there or not.

And sounds like his friend /family might be in trouble /threatened

Even pre-recording, and FF'ding through the ads, it's a bit of a slog, isn't it? And the cutter-cookie way the story-lines reflect Roy's ongoing angst. Still watching, but not impressed so far.

Nor me, I fact I fell asleep watching it and don't think I will bother going back to it.

A bit confusing I couldn't change via the option of the listing for the episode on the guide, but as you said, went to settings and put AD ON! Which turned it off for this episode.

Haven't watched it in full, but at least I know what to do now.

But very strange.

I suppose it means the switch is just a crude toggle, so every time you hit it, it changes mode. I'll bet if you hit AD ON again, it would come back.

(Assuming there's no AD OFF option. If there is, forget the above).

Sorry but these two episodes have been as dull as ditchwater. Couldn't even be bothered to watch to the end of the second episode.

I’ve almost finished last night’s, another 20 minutes to go. I just couldn’t stay awake or interested. It’s SO earnest and John Simm is always growling

I thought last night's was better than the other two , but the last scene with Glenn's house getting attacked was a strange ending .

Odd with Glen’s house. I don’t get this story line. Why transfer debt to Bruno, he’s just a child?

I think If I’d have been Sandy and suspect debt would transfer, then I’d have had a termination and if too far along, have had Bruno adopted, to protect him.
