Bernie is panicking.

Ma Driscoll is horrendous.

Kit is still fit.

Ronnie and Kevin's new double act is quite entertaining!

Debbie is still in prison.

Hope is still as cheeky as ever.

Brian has lost one of his favourite books!

It's all happening in t'street

I am sure there is more....... Smile

She is probaby scared that it will get out that she spent the night with Mal. 😬

Dev knows about the 'drug' taking, but I don't think he knows that she was with Mal all night does he?

which is why she needs Kit to kick his arse back to Inverness

Kit who didn't see him sneaking out of the cafe only a few feet away ? - that Kit.

Carla has always been my favourite. I love her and Hope and Todd and Tracy and Debbie and Christina and Roy and Ryan.

I like Eva and Sally and Tim and Bernie and Kit and David and Shona and Steve and Cassie and Tyrone and Asha and Carl and Ronnie and Michael and Evelyn.

I dislike Sarah and Jack and Bethany and Ma Driscoll and Kev and Izzy and Glenda and Ed.

I don't mind Mary and Rita and Betsy and Lisa and Maria and Gary and Jodie and Lily and Daniel and Megan and Ken and Gemma and Dev and Amy and Lauren and Fiz.

I am confused by Brian. Why is he such a buffoon? He used to be a headteacher.

I think there’s one you may have missed out 🤣

see this is why we really need 😀😀😀😀 back

Shellingbynight · 24/02/2026 08:20

Mal 'creeping out of the door' was so panto!

I don't know why Bernie doesn't just tell Kit. It isn't as if he's going to blab to Dev.

Although Mal is so psycho he's clearly not going to be put off until he's thrown over a cliff.

@JewelleryCat thanks for the link above. I'm glad Sally Ann has got other work. She's right about what has gone wrong with Corrie of course. I read another article with the producer who 'explained' the reason for the direction (it was absolute bobbins), I'll see if I can find it.

AmusedMaker · 24/02/2026 08:50

I must admit the photo thing was actually quite scary 🫣

JewelleryCat · 24/02/2026 08:51

@Shellingbynight that is a load of waffle. Who cares about how it looks? Do what Corrie is best at, strong friendships which they are trying to do with some of the women rallying around Debbie but it’s still better in Classic Corrie if you watch that and the writers need to take inspiration from it though I think we are in 2007 so not that classic lol but still better than Corrie now

TipsyPeachSnake · 24/02/2026 08:52

I’m still confused by the scene where Bernie came out of hospital after spending night in hotel room with Mal. What was that about?

I‘d really love Dr Harper to make a reappearance in it. I enjoyed his scenes and mystery surrounding him.

Thistooshallpass. · 24/02/2026 09:13

Mal - very odd but why did Bernie just not tell her policeman son to have a word . Always the thing in soaps when people fail to do the most obvious thing! Lots of mentions of big Jim Mac .. well done to everyone who saw the implausible link between him and Ben Driscoll .

SabreIsMyFave · 24/02/2026 09:20

AmusedMaker · 23/02/2026 09:42

Thank you Sab. ( hope it’s ok to call you Sab and I’m not coming across as too familiar ) 😃

No, of course I don't mind you calling me Sab! @AmusedMaker 😘

So Mal sneaked into Bernie and Dev's home and careful cut Bernies head from the wedding picture? Or did I misread what was happening (not unheard of)?

SabreIsMyFave · 24/02/2026 09:39

JewelleryCat · 23/02/2026 22:54

@SabreIsMyFave I don’t know if you watch Emmerdale but it gets said before that too, either “scenes of distress” or “scenes of violence” and when the programme ends, I’m left thinking “where was the distress or violence”

Exactly. I do see them now and again, (secnes of distress!) but not often.

On Corrie and other programmes. I don't watch Emmerdale. Smile

I know right. I think everyone in the street has a key to everyone else's property!!! 😆

Where was Dev? There’s always someone around in that house!

He’s gone somewhere with Asha - Asha was packing a bag and he said something to Bernie like “see you tomorrow at 3” - though I could be misremembering that line! But whatever was happening he was leaving for the night.

She went out afterwards clubbing and she slumped down in a toilet cubicle and some young women found her - the next episode was the hospital scene. So I suppose she had alcohol poisoning or the drugs she took effected her and she had her stomach pumped. I think she left Mal sleeping in the hotel room.

Or are a skilled burglar who can enter any premise, do something and leave without needing any keys or leaving any trace - apart from something creepy.

I can't even walk to the kitchen without knocking something over and I live here.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 24/02/2026 10:38

No doubt they all leave their doors unlocked like emmerdale. I thought he was going to creep up behind her.

Yes the Debbie friendship group was brilliant and what Corrie should be about, also the glimpses of Rita last week.

I agree 2007 is not total classic but it is so much better than 2026! For a start, there's 4 years of John Stape the accidental killer to look forward to, rather than a few months of Psycho Mal and Psycho Theo. Oh and Psycho Jodie and Pyscho Ma Driscoll....

Shellingbynight · 24/02/2026 10:49

Dev has gone to stay with Asha for some quality time before she starts her new 'driving patients around' job. He said to Bernie 'see you on Wednesday'.

Imagine quality time with Dev, you'd be murderous by the end of it!😆

eggandonion · 24/02/2026 11:04

Mal has a big toolbox so could break in quite easily using some tool? He has probably been in prison too which means he knows the tool...we needed a credit card for a previous house.
Mal also has a Stanley knife to slice out faces.
What was the outcome of the Alice bit?

And psycho Megan, and psycho Carl

Shellingbynight · 24/02/2026 11:58

Oh yes, psycho Megan. How could I forget (I'd like to!)

I can forgive Psycho Carl because he's a good actor. I wish they had redeemed him as I wouldn't mind him sticking around.

JewelleryCat · 24/02/2026 12:11

@Shellingbynight I agree that 2007 is not totally classic but still better than today. Oh yes, how could I have forgotten John Stape. We need someone like him in Corrie instead of these people we don’t care about
