Is it too early for a Celeb Traitors 2 Thread?! Never, I say!

Thought I’d start a thread so we can share all the whispers, and wishes, for the Series 2 lineup.

Names I have heard so far, from the likely to the fanciful:

Bob Mortimer - was rumoured for S1 but apparently couldn’t make the schedule work
Tom Hiddleston - apparently a huge fan of the non-celeb version and appeared on Graham Norton alongside Claudia where he was dropping hints about how much he’d liked to be involved
Liam Gallagher - Scott Mills was saying he’d heard he’s a big fan

Does anybody know when it’ll be screened?

@Ladybird69 The last one was in October, so maybe about the same.

Last year it was September/October time I think? I imagine same again (with the regular series coming back in Jan), it feels like an autumn/winter show, not summer.

I was really hoping Steve pemberton and Bob Mortimer would be in this season such great characters.

No idea what Maya Jama is meant to bring to the show.

They have to have someone from the Masked Singer panel on every series.

I’d have liked fewer comedians as I think they will all just be trying to be ‘the funniest’. A few sports people would be good as they would be super competitive.

Interested to see Myha'la, shes a badass in Industry so will be interesting to see what she is like 'in real life'.

Me too, I would have thought she’d be too cool for it. Her outfits are going to be great I suspect.

I understand that the non-celebrity version contestants stay there, but I’m not sure about the celebrities.

DH seems quite willing to ask about it when he’s up there. He’ll probably see someone whose family has lived there for several generations, and the area around Ardross is not that well populated: it’s not like where I am where I don’t know the people in the next street.

I think it might be too much for Acaster-bit worried about him. Love the idea of James Blunt-he will be good. He really has no fucks to give!

Why would it be too much for him? Genuine question as I don’t know him at all.

James Acaster is best friends with Ed Gamble and they have a top 20 podcast together - off Menu - I can’t think of anyone who would be better prepared!

James Acaster gets stressed very easily (Bon appetit) but is in a different stage in his life now and should be fine
I like LOL so more than happy to have James, Rob, Romesh, Joe, James B and Miranda riffing as opposed to not being able to crack jokes.

He has had issues with his mental health-and he’s found reality type things difficult lyle in the past.

I see. Yes, it might potentially be a bit much then. But I presume he thought hard about it and took advice if he has e.g. a therapist or anything, and only said yes when he was sure it'd be OK.

My understanding has been that they film in about May, certainly the evenings seem pretty light and I’ve heard previously some of the non-celebs complain about filming the night time tasks as they have to wait ages for it to get dark enough!

@MaySheWillStay So....... what is it, exactly, that your husband is going to be doing up there in such a remote place whilst this filming is going on that he's not interested in, whereby he can chat to the locals, and maybe even take a walk round the grounds of Ardross Castle?😁😂😎

Interesting line up. I suppose I'm not expecting too much from Jerry Hall. I just hope Rob and Romesh don't act too puerile and form an alliance together to the disadvantage of other players. Would be great if one of them was a traitor but maybe too predictable?

I worry the same about R and R.
I think any set-up involving the two of them is predicable, IYSWIM; both traitors: alliance; both faithful: alliance; one of each: suspect each other or refuse to suspect each other.
In any case I think a lot of the others will suspect them both of being traitors, and then if they're seen to fall out/have words they'll instead suspect one of them is a traitor and the other suspects him...
In other words, it's an effective if rather cynical bit of casting, engineered to create drama and intrigue whichever way you slice it!

Apparently (according to mighty google/The Sun etc) the celebrities have been arriving at Inverness airport. I suppose that this could all be a diversion to keep the press interested but it is going to be tricky to keep eliminations under wraps if the press are sneaking around the area with drone and binoculars etc.?
