DH and I both spotted weird mouth thing with Rose.

Yes, so did I. But I also think that DT has been speaking oddly this series - hard to explain it in writing, but he's been sort of 'shhing' his 's' sounds (while jutting out lower jaw). Has put me off him a bit.

Perhaps there's a link: "There's something in your mouth....there's something in your mouth!"

Without telling me anything about this week's episode please could someone tell me what episode number/name this one was?

oh rtd is an eejit for thinking that people wouldn't notice. plus it's not like she's the only chinese actress about (actually i didn't even think she looked particularly chinese, more malay etc). i think he must be lying, they can't underestimate the geekery of their audience like that.

Well, Billie said in some interviews that she had a little trouble coming back to the accent, but previews suggest she's warmed up by next week.

Did you see that brilliant change in DT's eyes when Donna said the two words? Loved it, and the signs all point to big things ahead for Donna, don't they?

It's just finished & I didn't actually hear her speak in the 2 minutes I was watching.

well clearly the name donna noble suggests that she is going to do something self-sacrificing, if she hasn't already. and the medusa cascade? mentioned again last week, wasn't it?

Russell Davies mentioned the Medusa cascade on DWC - he said something from every episode is going to come together in the finale

actually Rose's accent was a bit dodgy,as if she was trying it out again and not sure how to pitch it..

fwiw, I always think her real accent in interviews is a bit put on posh

In the trailer for next weeks it showed Sarah Jane and the kids who help her. Mixing a CBBC show with a Saturday night show? Will that work? And Torchwood.. wetting my pants with anticipation... Even my 5 year old asked why Rose couldnt talk properly any more.

by the way how Utterly Shit was that beetle, lololol?!

Billie Piper said in DWC that she panicked a few weeks before filming because she wasn't sure she could play Rose again and rushed out to buy the DVDs so she could watch herself. My guess is that the mouth thing is just because she couldn't quite get the voice right because she's out of practice!

The Doctor said the Time Beetle was 'one of the Trickster's brigade' and in DW Confidential there was a clip of what I assumed was Sarah Jane's show, with a hooded figure with no face saying something about what would happen if there was no Doctor & then he disappeared - not sure if this was from an actual episode of the Sarah Jane show, or a bit of next week's DW

There was once a character like that in a Sarh Jane episode.... black caped man with a sewn up mouth. Scary shit for kids. He took sarah Jane away to show what life would have been like if she wasnt around. So yes, sounds like the sarah Jane episode. Hope the grown ups who dont watch Sarah Jane adventures can keep up!!
