I was bored this week

Manename · 09/02/2026 06:00

It was OK. No way to send someone home without a proper tie breaker due to illness. I’m sure the terracotta challenge has been more enjoyable to watch in previous years.

Evening all

Good evening!
Two to leave tonight?

AlicePottery · 15/02/2026 19:52

Possibly

My mother used to have a lot of those pottery posies. Stupidly delicate dust traps.

AlicePottery · 15/02/2026 19:56

Bit of a dust trap sums it really. Between these and the souvenirs they had to make a couple of weeks ago, I'm starting to question the constant need for original challenges.

Incidentally I made 20 odd flowers this week for work, but they were in paper and for pupils to give each other for valentine's day

What a lovely idea @AlicePottery

FurForksSake · 15/02/2026 20:02

Bill, not sure not using sprigs was the right choice. It’s already a challenge!

FurForksSake · 15/02/2026 20:03

Love the flowers @AlicePottery

Saucery · 15/02/2026 20:18

lol at growing an ear on a mouse!

AlicePottery · 15/02/2026 20:19

I'm quite enjoying this, it's nice they have so much freedom in the design

I remember those flowers from my childhood I was fascinated by them - but I didn’t have to dust them 🤣

When I cleared my mother’s house I just submerged them in warm water and gave them a good swirl around before air drying.

They came out completely different colours.

Adding sprigs pots to my list of things to try making

I am enjoying this week, I found last week a bit uncomfortable when pots were collapsing

I'm waiting until the flowers have been bisk fired before I get to comfortable 😅

I think Bill is being brave I hope he does well. For some reason don’t warm to Emily though

AlicePottery · 15/02/2026 20:33

Not looking good for Emily which is a shame as they looked beautiful

Looking forward to seeing how they all come out, so difficult to tell under the clear glaze.

Saucery · 15/02/2026 20:38

There’s certainly going to be some amazing colours!

AlicePottery · 15/02/2026 20:42
