The face on the lynx was frankly terrifying. I liked Bill's best.

elgreco · 25/01/2026 21:51

I liked the pangolins or sharks best.

AlwaysRightISwear · 25/01/2026 22:13

I loved the lynx's face.

Emily's is so beautiful! I love this programme, I also think it's finally become Siobhan's show - she didn't seem entirely comfortable before this series but she's been really good this year.

yes, I feel that way about Siobhan too - it’s lovely how caring she is about the contestants, and how she swoops in for a pep talk if someone makes a mistake or has a wobble

LittleBitofBread · 31/01/2026 19:46

I also didn’t think the lynx’s face was very good. I did love the rest of it though. Bill was my winner this week. I’ll miss Whitney. He seems like such a sweet guy, and I love his Hong Kong/Glasgow accent. He was probably the weakest one left though.
Going back to a previous week, I would absolutely buy Naveed’s avocado bookends for my cookbook shelf in my kitchen!

Evening all

Checking in.

ThePainGrowsStronger · 01/02/2026 19:48

DH is watching a film...do you think he'll want to finish it or can I watch live this week?! 😭

TheExtraGuineaPig · 01/02/2026 19:53

Hi all! One of my fave bits of the week. I think I’d do Felixstowe, I don’t think there would be any others!

AlicePottery · 01/02/2026 19:54

Not loving the examples 😅

I'd do Westbay or Lyme Regis, oooh no, Charmouth for the fossils ❤

Evening all, coming in late

elgreco · 01/02/2026 20:13

Ribboned plates, never seen one before!

Saucery · 01/02/2026 20:14

Technically quite tricky but souvenirs as a task isn’t really grabbing me, apart from the mugs. I do love a nice mug Grin

EnterQueene · 01/02/2026 20:14

I’ve never seen a ribboned plate - recognise the tacky clogs and bells though

SabrinaThwaite · 01/02/2026 20:16

The bells will be interesting - any cracks and they won’t ring properly.

Saucery · 01/02/2026 20:16

Ooooh, candlesticks!

AlicePottery · 01/02/2026 20:18

That is not how I would have made those 😅😅

Would you have hand built them with individual clay balls?

AlicePottery · 01/02/2026 20:21

I would have thrown them in that shape to start with 😬

OP posts:
Manename · 01/02/2026 20:22

For the potters that is that 20 minutes a reasonable time?

Saucery · 01/02/2026 20:23

Oh, so bringing the clay up and poking in to make the shapes? See, this is why I prefer to watch pottery rather than attempt it again Grin

It would be enough if it was something you'd been doing for a while, trimming is quite quick (and one of the most satisfying things in pottery imo) but they've done well for a first time!

I’m very much enjoying that there is no obvious winner this series, it could be anyone’s.
