SHOCKINMG DREADFUL WOMAN

OP posts:
Confederate · 10/06/2008 22:02

Is that where her boutique was, in Ascot? Is that a part of London?

Confederate · 10/06/2008 22:04

Would you now consider going to her boutique to buy some of the clothes which were highlighted in the show?

margoandjerry · 10/06/2008 22:08

Ascot's sort of Surrey (I think) rather than London. Commuter belt and wealthy.

I would not go into her shop. My fear with boutiquey shops is that the owner is going to try to corner me and make me try something on. Bad enough but if it was that woman I would be sobbing within minutes.

Confederate · 10/06/2008 22:16

But, and I don't want to appear rude here, why would you go into the shop if you had no intention of trying on some of the clothes to see if they fitted you and if you thought they were pretty enough to buy?

margoandjerry · 10/06/2008 22:25

I know but I can tell myself if I like something and I don't like it when shop people try to persuade me to try things.

I am just antisocial that way - prefer shopping in highly anonymous environments where everyone will ignore me.

MaryAnnSingleton · 10/06/2008 23:00

Ascot is in Berkshire, but that's like Surrey stockbroker land

oh dear. He's clueless isn't he

sophiewd · 16/06/2008 21:09

very

JackieNo · 16/06/2008 22:17

How annoying was he. GLad she persevered though - it all looked much better in the end, as did whatserface. As good as 'Ten years younger'.

sophiewd · 16/06/2008 22:23

Parftner was a revelation

maidamess · 16/06/2008 22:26

I love my dd...I said 'Oh I think Mary is sooo cool, I'd love to dress like that' She replied 'You do!'

maidamess · 16/06/2008 22:27

I wish.

paddingtonbear1 · 16/06/2008 22:28

he was a right PITA, but I kind of felt sorry for him in the end - she was basically in charge which was right, but he must have felt like a complete spare part!

JackieNo · 16/06/2008 22:28

maidamess - how fab.

I love all Mary's coats and jackets - I really can't do them at all, and she has beautiful ones .

Carmenere · 16/06/2008 22:35

He was hideous to start with but what a revelation with the gf, she was brilliant I loved her personal journey and I actually admired the way he stepped back and allowed her to shine. Mary kept on referring to the shop as hers but in fairness although they were bf and gf, she was on a wage, it was his business, so fair play to him for turning it ovr to her. Lots of men couldn't handle being emasculated live on tv, he, I think was probably an ok bloke all in all.
