The trailer for the second series of The Night Manager has been released.

The first episode is set to air on 1 January 2026!

Anyone else can't wait for this? All the talk over the years about a second series and it's almost here!

And Series 3 has been given the greenlight, too.

Could barely get through first couple episodes. 🥱

Anyone else think the reveal wasn't exciting?

I think getting through the episodes has been such a slog that this reveal just seems like yet another eye roll moment!

The first 3 episodes have been massively lacking Roper's present so fingers crossed things are on the up now Dicky is back.

However, that begs the question why Angela told Pine she'd identified his body. Angela spent years going after Roper so I can only presume he has threatened her child to corrupt her.

It was a real slog getting to the last 2 minutes! Teddy is incredibly trusting of a bloke he'd barely met.

At least with Roper in series 1 Pine went through a massive fight to save Danny, and gained Roper's partial trust but he was never sure, and Pine knew that.

Oooohhhh that would be an interesting twist wouldn't it!

Found it hard going and we guessed Roper would be alive.

Teddy has daddy issues. He's looking for an older friend/father figure. It's funny how both of Roper's sons build trusting relationships with Pine.

And if he is working for the British government is Angela his handler and Rex was in on it OR is Roper working for Myra? Presumably Angela will be making an appearance fairly soon so we should get some answers.

I have watched the first 2 episodes with DD ...and now she's back at uni...and DH doesnt care enough! DD messaged and said she was stressed when they were in the boat, I wasnt worried I didnt think they would kill the protagonist in episode 3 of 6. It was nowhere near as stressful.as the thought of toys being incinerated in Toy Story 3 (im still traumatised by that, more than 12 years later!! 🤣)

Well, I definitely wasn't expecting THAT. If this was EastEnders that would have been the duff duff moment.!

A MN thread had led me to expect that Roper would still be alive. 😀

Presumably things will get more interesting now.
Starting with Pine tracking down Angela next week to find out wtf is going on.

ooooh I absolutely loved tonight’s episode

Tonight’s episode wasn’t really holding my attention. I was thinking it was missing the charisma of Roper and his cohort as Teddy is just a straight up average villain.
I’m hoping these three episodes were a slow burn leading to the reintroduction of Roper and things will become more interesting from here.

What was Pine's response when Roxy asked him how he handled the booze/drugs? I missed that bit, probably sipping at my tea.

Confused about some of the names, so Mayra's London and appears to be shifty. Can never remember the kindly older guy's name in London or the woman who is out there with TH. Must look at wiki.

He didn't give a response. Presumably he knew just as much as everyone how implausible it was!!! 😂😂😂

Just had a look at wiki, so Basil is decent older bloke and Sally is very earnest London operator who joined Pine or whatever his name is now.
