The trailer for the second series of The Night Manager has been released.

The first episode is set to air on 1 January 2026!

Anyone else can't wait for this? All the talk over the years about a second series and it's almost here!

And Series 3 has been given the greenlight, too.

Have we waited 3 weeks for episode 3!

It's been daft. Why did they drop two episodes on NY day on iPlayer but not put the second one on TV till a week later? Bizarre.

I've totally gone off the boil waiting for so long.

Ep 3 is up on iPlayer but I know this is TV paced.

Well I’ve watched Ep 3 and I won’t give any spoilers away but what I will say is that the BBC are being very unfair making us wait a week.

At least the weather isn’t going to be as rubbish so I can do other things rather than daydream about the next episode 🙃.

Off to watch but won't comment till tonight. 🙂

Is anyone else finding Tom's character really obnoxious this time ? And the way he talks to Roxana really disrespectful and rude for no reason. Why is he do dominant to her?

Also just now - he heard that the prosecutor was in immediate danger but didn't bother telling anyone

Plot wise, it's not the same

I agree he's not very nice. I don't like him at all.

This won't give anything away, but yet another conversation that was meant to be hidden but Sally openly looking at him and talking and even showing him her laptop.

Yes, this is the main problem I think. David Cornwell was really on top of all the little things.

It's as if the makers of this either don't realise they matter, thought they were OTT last time, or just have no interest in them and don't think anyone is going to care or notice.

There have been so many of these top secret meetings and convos that have been ridiculous.

Remember in series 1 where the pair from MI5 I think were sent out and there were exchanges of information.

But it was all quite secret and if anyone were watching it would have stood out. (Until Pine did a runner!)

Compare Sally and the poker game where she's wired up and openly talking to someone not in the room with her.

Absolute nonsense.

Roxy asking Pine what we all want to know... "How did you fucking do that?" re all the drugs and booze and still be functioning 😂

Do try and get to the end, it is hard going!

You can hear the writer thinking, well that was a bit incredulous, so I need to put something in the script about it.

It makes me think of all the A1 generated crap on social media. It’s like they asked A1 to write the script and the actors are all A1 generated. There’s no soul, no wit , no nuance. TH is not likeable. No one in this series is interesting at any level .
It makes me feel quite ill .

I agree about the lack of soul and nuance. Quite funny to think 1 would come up with this....probably! But would it say, there are too many unrealistic parts!

It’s no good. 9.21 and I’m bored.

Hang in there and watch till the end of episode 3 if you can.

I had to FF the worst parts, and feel I deserve a medal for finishing!

The same chameleonic blandness that makes him so suited to espionage makes for an inherently unmemorable hero.

New colleagues Waleed (Anil Desai), Basil (Paul Chahidi) and Sally (Hayley Squires) never rise above the level of accessories to Jonathan’s obsessive pursuit of closure, let alone to that of a potential co-protagonist.
