I reckon AJ could rock up next week and she would still smash it with her eyes closed.

I hate ringers, so those icons are very disappointing

Like others, I would love to see AJ back, especially the Charleston. I would even prefer the other sort of iconic dance - Ed Balls doing Gangnam Style, Anton wiping the floor with Ann Widdecombe, or even John Sergeant’s paso

Danny and Oti's AS is probably the dance I have watched the most on YouTube. Oti said as she wasn't wearing her glasses she was just launching herself off the end of that pier and trusting Danny to catch her. The dances I watch over tend to be the ringers. Basically Jay and Danny. Love Kelvin Fletcher's samba, jive, rumba, AS and quickstep.

Probably the only non-ringery dances I watch again and again are the ones that make me laugh. Namely Michael Vaughan's jive and Alison Hammond's AS. Mark Benton's were funny but, you know, intentionally. Oh god, Nancy Dell'Olio and her coffin and that feather boa.

I also love Katie Derham's tango, VW and rumba. Debbie McGee!!! Rachel Stevens's rumba. Austin's paso. Ricky Whittle's quickstep. Matt Baker's samba. Scott Maslen's jive and VW. Jake Wood's salsa. Hamza's salsa. Ellie's AS and paso. All the classics.

I wish Mark Ramprakash's dances and Colin Jackson's were available in better quality.

I wouldn’t mind Ed and Katya’s Gangnam Style, but I never want to see Ann Widdicombe being dragged around the floor dressed as a canary ever again.

I wonder if they invited her back at some point and she said no, or if they just couldn't find a suitable point/reason to have her back.

The trouble with Bill Bailey’s rappers delight, it was a total rip off of Chucky Venn and Karen’s cc a few years earlier, and tbf, Chuck was better.

Oh yes, this has reminded me of Hamza – not just the salsa, but that wonderful CC to Jerusalema. What a lovely soul he was.

Ellie and Vito's AS was SO classy.

And I've also just remembered Anton and Ruth Langsford's paso to The Shady Dame From Seville, which was both a genuinely good dance and a classic bit of camp comedy, and movie/culturally literate to boot. Not to mention the virtuoso singing.

They don't really make em like that any more on Strictly.

I guess I feel a bit sorry for Chuck because his cc has been all but forgotten, and for me - probably in the minority - Bill’s was made a bit too much of.

How on earth can you not remember him, he and Oti sizzled that series. I saw the tour and live they were amazing.

Just watched Charles Venn's and Bill Bailey's CCs, and I still think Bill's is better. It has more wit, humour, character and style IMO. Better costumes and props too. Bill is more musical and a better actor. And, much as I love Karen, she and CV didn't have the chemistry Bill and Oti did.
It's a real pity Bill was in one of the pandemic seasons when they didn't have a studio full of noisy people to give them the reception they deserved.
