I actually thought that Nick started to get suspicious when Joe said that he wanted to win with just Nick and himself at the end. Joe was being totally genuine, of course, but Nick obviously wondered if he was getting played.
I do kind of get it. I think I would be a bit suspicious of someone who put that much trust in me being a faithful when they wouldn't really have any way of knowing who the traitors are. I think I might start wondering why they were so sure of themselves.
Nick and Celia were my favourites throughout the show, so I was rooting for Nick at the end. He seems such a genuinely lovely man. But Alan was a very worthy winner and chose a great charity, so I was happy with the outcome and loved the gracious response at the end from Nick and David.
