I’d say Joe was hoist by his on petard to some extent. He had been telling everyone loudly and repeatedly that “he” had spotted traitors, “he” kept getting it right when his spots (including Jonathan) came from others. He was rarely challenged hard probably due to his style of interaction. You see the same in meetings - the person who talks loudly and talks over key people (notably Clare in this case) tends to close down discussion whether they intend to or not.
So I can see why the “I’m sorry” caused Nick to overthink a bit as Joe had not been challenged half so much as most of the others. Nick's face when Alan said Joe had told them he was voting for David and lied to them was probably what finished Nick off. He was expecting Joe to vote for Cat but he didn’t know about the extra deception - if Joe had been more open with Nick when planning Nick might have continued to trust him.
Alan deserved to win in the end because he played a great game. Being annoyed that someone has lied to you in a game called “Traitors” is just silly. I’d still like to know the other charities which were represented, especially if small and local - publicising them can often bring in a few extra bucks.
As Claudia said - its dead easy for us to say something is obvious from our living rooms, its much harder for the people in the game. I don’t imagine we would do much better than any of the players.
I’d like to see another celeb series if they can keep the same level of celebs. I wouldn’t be interested in a sesires which was all professional reality show competitors. I was surprised more people hadn’t heard of Cat. I’m not young but it was me who introduced her to my adult DC, not the other way around. (They told me about Nico though).
