The end is near, just behind the cat cafe.

Does anyone else think Reiss picked that awful date on purpose so that Leisha would think maybe this isn’t the man for me?

TinselAngel · 06/11/2025 11:35

I feel bad that I’ve criticised Grace but I suppose we can only go on the evidence that the programme chooses to put before us, and given the ixperiment was already over before it was broadcast, the programme makers knew what Grace had said in her interview with the ixperts that we saw last night, from the outset.

It’s not necessarily an awful date!

beachwalker76 · 06/11/2025 11:40

Note to Sam: In an apartment where 2 people of opposite sex who had known each other a few days, certainly aren't in a close relationship/emotionally connected/in love...

An unlocked loo door - could be opened by mistake...then should be shut quickly

A locked door - signals privacy and dignity needed whilst that door is shut. So you don't try to force it open.

A locked door which is picked and unlocked without the occupant knowing, the door is opened without the occupants consent...and with the intention of shocking, humiliating, imposing one's presence upon that person either psychologically or physically [especially if the injured party is female] is dirty, indecent ABUSE [to say the least]. FGS.

Mymaloy · 06/11/2025 11:44

Yes unlocking the door would have left me terrified every time I used the bathroom

FergoMcFergFace · 06/11/2025 11:51

It was very odd to announce that he's a engineer so of course he can pick the bathroom lock. A 10 year old could pick a bathroom door lock! The point is that there's a social code that you respect someone's privacy if that lock has been used, whether you've known them for five minutes or 20 years.

And how many times has a wife left an abusive husband only to hear all their friends say what a great guy he is and they can't believe the accusations? Group validation does not necessarily reflect your character behind closed doors.

I suspect Ash believes he really is a great guy because everyone says so, so why would he need to reflect on his behaviour?

Crikey! I fell asleep watching the commitment ceremony on catchup last night, sounds like there was a fair bit of tea spilled though!

And none of us think Argos is just toys.

No, Argos just makes me think of those matching, brightly coloured kitchen appliances and mug trees -pea green toasters and kettles.
Not scary, kidnapping dolls

It does have a sinister atmosphere that advertises. And the actor looks like whatshisface from Friday Night Dinner. It actively makes me want to STOP shopping at Argos in case something scary happens

dotdotdotdash · 06/11/2025 12:30

I bet Bailey will become a long distance dad to Bluebell and move to Liverpool… Bec has already designated her a bedroom.

I wonder whether he sees her during the week

dotdotdotdash · 06/11/2025 12:42

Yes, I wonder. We never hear about Ratboy’s child who is non-verbal autistic. I feel sorry for his mum, Ratboy’s ex…

Mymaloy · 06/11/2025 13:03

The consensus on social media still seems to be pro ash. Just been reading some Facebook posts where people are furious with the experts for making him feel like he is in the wrong

I suspect Ash believes he really is a great guy because everyone says so, so why would he need to reflect on his behaviour?

The Ash comment “I don’t know why you lock the door, I’m an engineer” was very concerning, he didn’t try even to deny it. He was making sure she knew, she had no place to go to.

I have been married for years and I trust my husband thoroughly, but we both have boundaries around privacy. It’s not something we’ve ever discussed, it’s respect and common courtesy.

I’d have been concerned at the beginning, if I were Grace, with the fact he has a toddler son, is not long out of a relationship and has already been engaged twice. Wouldn’t make you feel very special, just that he has a vacancy to fill with a high staff turnover

Phelicity · 06/11/2025 13:16

chaosmaker · 05/11/2025 22:07

I do wish Grace had been matched with Bailey. She needed someone that was like him. Preview will be JR and any of the husbands - prob ratboy but could be more than one.

I don’t think Grace would have liked being called “baby girl” by Bailey though.

CosySeason · 06/11/2025 13:40

I’ve just found the thread so will go back and read it.

I can’t help but think something is off with Jon and Abi. I think she is being swept up by him and his declarations because she thinks it’s how it’s supposed to be.

Bailey won’t have enough to offer Rebecca outside of the experiment. She seemed to change when she saw his flat.

JaneJeffer · 06/11/2025 11:29

Activity dates can be fun but no amount of reassurance will be enough for Leisha.

Phelicity · 06/11/2025 15:19

Grace is intelligent and articulate and Ash is no match for her. In the re-telling of their relationship Grace has convincingly portrayed herself as a victim and Ash as a “sex pest”, etc etc, (and has destroyed his reputation into the bargain).
I think the truth is probably simple - they’re just not each other’s type, and Grace’s type would be extremely hard to find, whereas Ash not so much.

We should avoid condemning either one or the other of them. The problem lay in the initial faulty selection of them as a potential couple. It was blatantly obvious from the start that they were not right for each other - they should never have been matched.

chaosmaker · 06/11/2025 16:00

Ash did it all to himself. Grace didn't need to do anything.
