Given how bad many 9pm slots have been recently this series may even be a pleasant surprise.

I agree. It used to be so good; it really hasn't been lately. I don't think Tosh is a great actor, but it didn't matter so much when the story-lines were stronger.

I think its a shame that couldn't somehow make more the storyline of 2 women working together.

I think in the first series that Ruth arrived from London she and Tosh had some quite sparky dialogue.

But somehow they dropped that. And now both women have the same scenarios each episode.

It’s hardly surprising she wants to move on after so many years - regardless of the quality of the writing.

I hope she’ll be offered some parts that give her more scope - and a better wardrobe!

Well at least Billy got to leave the station last series. I mean, I literally don’t think I’d ever seen him in daylight or wearing anything other than that extremely tight uniform shirt. He got knitwear like everyone else!
