I agree about disliking a lot of the characters now, so many are behaving oddly/badly. The one good reversal is Lauren, I used to find her really irritating but I like her now. I do hope they don’t ruin Oscar.

I don’t think Zoe does know about her twin. I wonder if the writers have decided that Redwater never happened (wouldn't blame them!)

Red water was odd wasn’t it! I only watched one episode of it. Alfie had this brain tumour , but after they came back they won a million on the lottery and went to the US to be cured!

Kat didn’t find out she had two babies for decades.
Viv ( her mum) and dad knew about it I believe , they left the baby at the nunnery where she gave birth as couldn’t afford to bring up two babies as their own.
Whole story with them all is just so tragic really

Oh yes, Alfie's brain tumour that we've all forgotten about!
I think I watched all of Redwater but I don't remember much about it now.

So many life or death health issued brushed under the carpet never to be mentioned again:

Alfie -brain tumour and prostate cancer
Kats burns in the fire
Amy- badly injured in the crush
Nugget- dialysis after kidney failure
Phills drug addiction ( his alcoholism is still referred to)
Linda- she is alcoholic but in remission .
Jean- ovarian cancer ?
Zac- HIV in remission

Years ago Colin ( remember him) was ill , everyone assumed HIV /AIDS as it was referred to back then. But he had MS . He came back for Dots funeral .

and Suki of course who didn't have any illness but was fabricating

Kats burns have been airbrushed away . She really suffered back then with her esteem.
Agree that they have these life changing things and it’s all forgotten. Stacey’s Arthur had that heart problem, as did Kush, but not mentioned. It’s all just for plot purposes isn’t it

Nugget is in Ibiza with his family ! I hope they took out adequate holiday insurance .. lol

if they haven't done and he gets ill they will need to do more than a PubQuiz GoFundMe to get him treated !

Though it could be one of those Public Service Information episodes and if poor Nugget is thrown under the bus , welllll ..................

Who’s the daddy of Zoe’s son…

Snow. We don’t know! I’m beginning to think that Zoe isn’t that sure either the way it’s going ! Lol

It's got to be Antony. Of course Zoe will taken another century to reveal it.

Antony is featured more next week with Zoe so this is building up to a reveal, maybe. I said a few weeks ago there may be a reveal at Christmas culminating with a “you ain’t my daughter!” showdown. But I have no idea where the writers are going with Jasmine’s obsession with Cindy.

I suppose it is still possible that Jasmine is Zoe's daughter despite the storylining which makes it look like she's a Ford.

She could be interested in 'mothers who abandon their kids', rather than Cindy in particular. The note could have been from one of Greg's family and it could be Zoe 'paying for what she's done'.

Both options seem really clumsy and I can't see the point of introducing a Ford, but nothing about EE makes much sense nowadays!

When we saw a glimpse of the baby in the flashback -one of the babies anyway - they did look like they could be dual-heritage.......so we think "Ahhh Anthony's baby"

Idle Musing.......I haven't seen spoilers for this . Don;t even know if the dates for the baby fit......but when does Eastenders let the truth get in the way ?

Late 2004 when she was with Dennis and the horrible storyline with Den .
Anthonys brother Paul was killed just before Christmas 2024 so the pair of them could have a re-write history one night stand .

Paul was with Natalie (Barry's ex wife ) but she found out about Janine and Barry . (Poor Barry got killed NYD 2024 ) .
Zoe had a face like a slapped arse over Dennis/Sharon

It will come out they had a fling "He was nice to me . He got me . He knew what it was like to be pushed out from your family . It just happened"

Anthony being back in the Square is a bit what is he still doing there ?

It could be a good showdown reveal "You slept with my brother " ....
"Yeah well you were having it away with my Mother behind my back"

There was also speculation that the babies have two dads! It can happen with twins apparently and has a long name. It’s rare, but it has been known to happen.
Just to complicate things even further they may go down this route with her story. I just hope it’s wrapped up soon, but will probably drag on like the drugs one has and is still ongoing next week too.
Eve has to speak to her estranged mum over this adoption plan of theirs too.

Yeh Antony is far too tedious to have him hanging around for months for no particular reason, he has to be involved. He is a doctor yet has left his job in Scotland and made no attempt to get another one, and just hangs around getting a scene every few weeks. What is he doing all day??

Anthony is probably left hanging so they can bring him in for the big reveal ! He is currently living with Partick and co, but like Howie’s parcel stealing , it’s all on the back burners. Probably because it’s holiday season when this was filmed and so many are off. Sharon has hardly been in it this year at all. Albie will have lost out on so much school it’s ridiculous, not to mention Linda’s neverending cruise !

Ahh babies born in 2006 so not Paul then .

Jasmine is young , she may be Zoe’s child, but she would have had a scene with her by now I think. I feel she is a red herring , but also Cindy has disappeared too, so the whole thing is ridiculous.

I can’t believe that Zoe was pregnant with twins, couldn’t have attended any ( or many) anti natal appointments and walked out of Streatham hospital without anyone trying to find her. They had some cctv in 2006 surely ? She left one baby who she thinks died and didn’t even hang around to see what was happening with the other one. The doctor wanted to see her, but she took their word the baby girl had died.
Awful behavior and how she managed to get herself away after having twins post partum is so far fetched. Most people just wouldn’t have the strength, especially as she had two of them as well !

I also read about Eve having to speak to her mother next week. I know that there are rigorous checks before people are approved to adopt, but I didn't think you'd have to have a reference from your parent which Eve has to get?

I know someone who went through the adoption process twice and they were throughly investigated.
I am not sure if they had to ask their parents though tbf but it was a long time ago.
Maybe Eve does because she was in prison once or something ? Or just another stab in the dark by writers to bring in a new character or more angst.
Is Eve running her stall on her own now ?
