I think as part of the process they would want to speak to family. They ought to start with Suki, give Ash a call, then they can ditch the idea from the off. They wouldn't even need to get as far as finding out two of her sons went to jail😆

Shelling , the authorities would look at both their histories and it would be a non starter surely ? Your right.
Suki prentended to have cancer once as well as what has gone on with her own children! Eve was in prison for ABH and no longer a lawyer. Those two are toxic, but will probably have a child by new year !

Absolutely - if they manage to adopt a child it will be completely ridiculous.
I am hoping it will just be a storyline about why they can't adopt (but yeh this is EastEnders).

Speaking of which, I agree about Zoe not being able to hotfoot it out of the hospital after having twins, in fact the doctor even said that Zoe was haemmorraghing!

But you know full well there is no CCTV on EastEnders, not even in Streatham😆

I am sure that hospitals had some kind of security in 06 ! The doors were locked in the 90s on maternity wards when I had my two, it was like Fort Knox getting into it or out. Even if the local news did an appeal of some kind to find her.
Where was she living and working? The key ring said Ibiza didn’t it ? Not that that is much of a clue though tbf. She must have had some kind of check up.
I know it’s EE and not true, but the whole thing is so far fetched .

I've been looking this up as I'm interested in the process as a potential adopter. As long as the criminal offence wasn't involving a child and wasn't a certain sexual offence, you can adopt if you have a criminal record. You have to have at least three people who will be your referee's and one of them has to be a relative.

They are still unsuitable though , but maybe I’m too judgy. Suki did get away with murder, but that won’t be flagged up ! Lol

I think it was mentioned before about Eve's sentence not necessarily being a problem. But once you get onto Suki's family history, that puts the kibosh on it.

Depends if Suki lies or if they don’t dig too deep.
She has a clean record, so maybe might go under the radar. Not sure why they don’t foster , but seems she wants a new baby. Why at her age and with party animal Eve is a bit unclear tbh.

Do they not realise they are unlikely to get a baby, they will probably get an older child with considerable problems. Which Suki and Eve would certainly add to😆

Hard to know if it's nonsense though
But I've definitely had enough of the drugs storyline...it's fairly obvious as Ravi is a major character he will get away without getting caught by police ..just like recent gun storyline...bored already by Calum and Jonny ...just need Ben back to be the cat amount the pigeons

I bet that Ben’s return will involve him teaming up with his daughter to bring Johnny down ( if he isn’t already with Tim that is , which seems likely too)
I read that Ravi kills Oakie, but I think it’s wishful thinking by the fans online. Agreed that he’ll get away with it or pin it on someone else! They usually do.

The drugs storyline is such a mess. And neverending. I am sure Ravi will get away scot-free, that is why they have involved Okie in the torture of Harry and Kojo. He's dispensable and will be dispensed with!

I wish that George and Nicola have a go at Oakie , really make him wish he’d never been born and whisk H off to rehab and Kojo learns a lesson not to be too trusting with anyone.

Jasmine is out of hospital but I don’t know why Gina is still in hospital when it would have been Jasmine who would have been hit more?

Michelle Ryan was terrible today in the last few scenes.

Gina busted her knee, but would she need an op ?
When have they done a pub quiz before ? I can’t remember such a thing !
Zoe is losing the plot I think
Vicki is having a nightmare isn’t she! How will she manage for money?
with Gina laid up and Elaine in the Vic, who was running the Albert ?

Was Michelle Ryan really that bad in her first outing?

I love a pub quiz!

Zoe’s acting was absolutely wooden. It honestly looked like a mediocre school drama production.
And all this rattling a tin of tuna for the bloody cat. She really is going doolally. I have blocked Annony out. Ridiculous character.
George is so wasted in this. He is such a good actor and is not given anything much to do

George looked like a giant in the kitchen. Good on Kat for telling Vicki the truth. Why did Jasmine bring a fruit basket back in a taxi if she was just go to bin it anyway.

I agree it was like Am Dram night at EastEnders.

Antnee and Zoe were both always really wooden, I don't know why TPTB think it is such a treat for viewers to have them back. The producer seems to be obsessed with the Slaters but he isn't giving them any decent material. Even Kat was struggling tonight.

Even Nigel and his balloon annoyed me. They have ruined his storyline with this crash and he’s not going to jail, so it’s all pointless. Julie still seems strangely clueless about dementia.

Jasmine is already going back to work??

I don’t care about Vicki either. How did she get that dress on with a broken arm?

And Sharon is ‘visiting Jada’ yet again. What was the point of the Dennis lie when Sharon isn’t even around to care.

Suddenly Anna is going to Oz. That’s the first we heard of it isn’t it?

Oscar is still the only bright point.

What or who is in Oz anyway for Anna to want to go there?!?

I noticed that they sneeked the "Going to Oz" thing in. Agree it was all really wooden or OTT acting. Even Oscar was bad.

So Jasmine gets out of hospital and goes straight to the pub quiz before her shift.

Who is writing this nonsense. I know we have to suspend some disbelief but it is absolute nonsense.

I only watch it now cos I enjoy this thread.

I thought Oscar was starting to be suspicious of Jasmine a bit more today and that he was going to go to the fruit basket she had dumped to see if "her mother's" card was there. But no. That would be too logical wouldn't it 🙄
