Billy and Honey should have Lexi. Or Kathy.
I suppose that Jay being written out has made it difficult too. I know he isn’t her dad either , but he was better with her than C and J are at playing dad just now.

Yes it was Lee who did the beating.

Johnny is making a stream of terrible judgment calls. Trying to buy Lexi, trying to poach his company’s clients, getting bought by Tim, trying to buy Lexi (again). His character is being ruined, although I am not that bothered as I never the recast. Callum is such a wet weekend he is railroaded by whoever is nearest, whether it’s Ben or Johnny. He stands there looking tragic and failing to do anything.

Johnny is being a people pleaser, but it’s just coming across as much too try hard and creepy.
Callum should have stopped him when he bought the skin care for her. Had a word then.
I hope Honey and Billy tell him to back off and to his face!

It made sense for Lexi when it was Jay and Callum, but now it's just Callum (and Johnny) she isn't being parented at all. She would definitely be better with Honey and Billy, I wonder if that will happen.

I think that Lexi shouldn’t be living with Callum or Johnny, but I suppose her dad will come back soon and sort it out.

Jay was more of a dad to her than Callum is/was. He actually parented.

Johnny is getting on my nerves.

Jay didn’t indulge or spoil Lexi.

It seems unlikely Ben would leave Lexi living with Callum now they have split up, it makes no sense and she has other relatives on the square. Maybe Kathy will have news on that score when she gets back.

Yes. I feel like Lexi could potentially go right off the rails (knowing what I know -too well- about teenagers 😳) and she’s endured a lot of trauma so far in her life. With no boundaries at home, she could get into some real trouble.

Yes, they often forget that they have mobiles and phones don’t they ! Yes, Kathy may sort it out too. hope so

Yes I don't get this. Why when Lexi madam has 3 sets of biological relatives in the Square (Phil, Kathy, Billy) is she living with a man who is no longer with her dad. And hasn't been for over a year technically. I know the Jay situation makes it difficult but the reality is that when Ben gets out of prison Lexi will be with him and Callum and Jonny sausage will bugger off together.

I get that Jonny is trying to win her over but those scenes are creepy and cringe.

It's all part and parcel of characters behaving totally out of character to drive nonsensical plots. Ben doesn't care Lexi is living with his ex, George isn't bothered about kojo disappearing, Teddy goes to search the entirety of Cardiff for Harry, Nigel launches into philosophical speeches about justice ... and then a kitten appears in a soil pipe. 😆

I'm actually hating most of the stories atm.
Kojo, Harry etc can get in the bin, with Zoe.
Nigel's story is being really badly done. Julie is so fucking annoying.
Callum is an idiot, are they building up to him getting scammed somehow by Jonny and his new fancy mate?

For a lawyer , Johnny is incredibly stupid.

The cat was done to show Zoe rescuing something I suppose. Also this leads to a flood and they find this tape from 1988 , even though the slaters didn’t live there then ! So weird isn’t it , wonder what that is about

I'm confused over the 1988 tape. The Slaters weren't in EastEnders then?

I'm also developing a visceral reaction to Jonny sausage for some reason.

The spoilers suggest that Kat knows what’s on the videotape and tries to stop Zoe seeing it. That suggests to me that Kat has brought the tape to the Vic amongst her boxes. Zoe would have been 4 in 1988; Stacey was born in Nov 1988. So why was a home movie made and kept? Stacey’s christening? Family Christmas?

And maybe the VHS bombshell is some drunken outburst by a family member which rewrites history in some way?

Does Zoe know about her brother , the preist ?
I think she does , but not sure
