Agreeing with those saying Grace is being gaslit a bit by Ash, albeit unintentionally at times - he seems to be slowly getting what she means but then hiding what he has actually said to make it look less obvious that she's seen he wants his Barbie still. She's giving a bit back with the nails and the condom shop which is her saying she can see sex as part of their future but agree that doesn't mean she has to do it that night. I can see why describing detail of intimacy to the room seemed a bit OTT for her but also why he thought it was needed. I just don't think they are well matched as we said previously - he is always going to want to show her off and she is not the type to enjoy that at all. Also think it was telling the dad wasn't there as I suspect he would have given short shift to any feminist ideals...

I also like John so far. Maybe he will be a little intense? I don't know I think I am more worried about her not knowing her own mind from the mum taking too much of a "guiding" presence in her life. I think she might fall apart or see things wrong that aren't when she doesn't have her mum around 24/7. I actually think Grace needs a younger man, not one her own age. Men in their late 30's and 40's are not on the same page as the younger generation - growing up on a diet on Inbetweeners being bantz, Ali G being funny, I won't bother listing all the men who have had fame who've turned out to be nasty a.holes but there were a lot of dodgy role models in the 90's.
