I can't find a thread for this . Surely there is one? Can anybody point me towards it?

I didn’t like the last season (River Cartwright seemed to have had a complete personality transplant; well, what little we saw of him) but loved or liked the others.
In any case as long as there’s plenty of Jackson Lamb I’ll be happy!

Missing the point entirely, I binged My Brilliant Career (Netflix), an Aussie period drama starring Roddy as the love interest. What a transformation!

It’s been a long wait for S6 (which I thought they filmed alongside S5). 3 weeks to go….

I mean, Christopher Chung was always gorgeous, but it was so odd seeing him as a real person rather than a ridiculous caricature 😂 I loved My Brilliant Career too, highly recommend!

Not long until the next Slow Horses series now, I think - but do I want to watch them once a week, or hold off and binge the lot all together later?

Do we know how many episodes it will be?

6 episodes, once a week from 16 September.

I think I’ll have to get a spreadsheet to figure out likely overlaps with whatever else they plan to put on.

I love this show. Dh only got Apple TV for Ted lasso and I thought I’d give this a go and I am hooked. I adore Jackson lamb ( he is awful) but mostly because he can say what he likes and gets away with it. He is MI5’s very own JR Ewing ! Love River too.
Love the fact it’s in London too.

Season 6 drops once a week from the 16th September I think. I might be wrong on the date, but it is coming soon. I am on season 5 still atm.

Season 7 is already filmed too, a friend was working on the production side of things. But we won't see that until 2027!

Season 6 looks good. I can’t work out if Jackson really doesn’t like River or has a grudging respect for him deep down. I can’t understand why Diane won’t let him come back. She must know that spider set him up to fail and his been dead a while. He saved Wardle’s life too.

We wouldn't have him if she did! I'm happy for him to stay at Slough House for the foreseeable.

Love River so much and heard a rumour he may be the new Bond too. He is gorgeous, but maybe not hard enough ? Don’t know if he is btw

He’s so bland. Absolutely the least interesting character in SH.

I do like River, but agree he isn’t as interesting as Ho or Shirley and my favorite, Lamb!

He's supposed to be a bit neutral as generally we see Slough House through his eyes. He represents the viewer. If he was as 'interesting' as Ho/Shirley/Lamb, we'd have an entirely different perspective.

Agree. One reason I didn't like the last season so much was that it was more about Roddy.
Also, his chemistry with Gary O is fantastic.

I don’t mind Ho, but he is far too arrogant and it winds me up a bit. I know it’s his persona and so on.

Books 6&7 are the basis for the 6th series I read somewhere. River’s not in the 6th one a huge amount either.

In one of the books Shirley describes River as seven shades of vanilla.

None of the rumoured Bonds are screaming "perfect casting" at me tbh. I'd love to have Charles Babalola as Bond - loved him in The Outlaws, and I think he'd follow on from Daniel Craig really well. Whoever they cast will do a good job, though, I'm sure.

Re Slow Horses, I love Roddy, I was quite happy with seeing plenty of him. Lamb is the star though, and now River has introduced him to us, he's a bit lost for his own story. "Seven shades of vanilla" 😂 oh dear how damning and accurate 🙈
