Omg all my life people have corrected me and I hate it so much - so when someone suggests something like 'get your nails done' it does seem like criticism 😔

It's not a criticism though. It's a suggestion. And you're the on the receiving end of a suggestion, which you can either take or leave, or even respond with 'thank you for your unwanted suggestion' (which is my way of dealing with unwanted comments) 😁

Criticism - the expression of disapproval of someone or something on the basis of perceived faults or mistakes.

'Get your nails done' (which Ashley did not say) is far from a criticism.

It's a minefield tho isn't it? I mean you say grown out but only last week I was seeing posts about how gel isn't meant to touch the cuticle any more because it damages it...there's a lot more to these girly maintenance rituals than you'd think and it's not just time and money and giving a crap, it's a lifestyle. I think that's what she's not interested in.

I've gone through phases so I'm not judging her either way but I can see how it would feel a bit weird having a man comment on it - like he knows how he wants her to look and even that small thing isn't up to scratch. It'd feel like it would become her full time job to look perfect. As he said, Barbie. I'd get the ick and would expect that from someone like Steven or one of Maeve's exes.

Didn't like Crystal at all but was well impressed with her handling of Steven.
I don't get the pairings at all. Sarah and Joe would have been a much better match and I would love to get to know a happy, carefree Sarah.
I would have paired Maeve with Ashley. Surely, his rugby lad culture and her Geordie ladette ways and their love of horses were a great starting place.
Heck, even Dean and Grace would have been a better match. They would both be more relaxed. Grace wouldn't be waiting for the next misogynistic comment to be made and Dean might not feel cornered into trying so hard.

I am not sure about Bailey and Rebecca. I think Bailey could have been matched with anyone in there (apart from Leigh, Davide and Keye), he seems very affable and approachable. Likewise, Rebecca could possibly match with any of the guys, she is attractive and seems nice.

Although judging from the video of their night out last week I think Rebecca was definitely flirting with Leah, based on the tongue through the fingers pose! But that could all be on jest!
