I really feel for Joe and Neal. I don't think they played badly at all- but they just made errors at the worst times.

Joe and Neal have still done really well as a 'new' team, and are close to qualifying for the tour finals.

Annabel is losing the battle with the wind and her hair.

Joe and Neal are few years younger than Z and G- it has taken their opponents years to win a slam- so they just need to hold out for the win.
It probably feels worse, because they had early success with other partners.

Such a shame. I just hope they give their partnership a chance, and don't get downhearted and decide to split. It is going in the right direction- they keep losing(mostly) to more established pairs.

I know. They both said in their speeches that they would continue to work hard, implying together, but they may just be saying that. I hope not. As you said, they have nearly qualified for the tour finals and will also move up to 5th in the rankings, less than 9 months after partnering.

I think the men’s final is on earlier tomorrow - apparently Donald Trump will be there - maybe he should have been at the women’s final but probably doesn’t realise that Anisimova is American!
