I just hope Aryna is a bit humble in her in her speech. This year, her speeches when losing have not shown her in a good light.

Yeah, I can understand why Amanda is disappointed, but making two slam finals in a row is already amazing, and I’m sure it won’t be the last opportunity for her.

To follow up the loss at Wimbledon by getting to this final , was amazing. She has done really well.

It won't feel like that now. She is a massive hitter. And I think she is going to be a big threat .

She seems more upset here, than Wimbledon. Possibly, it's because it's a home crowd, or that she felt she had a chance.

I don't think I will stay awake much longer for all this.

It was a decent final. Sad for Amanda- she gave it a good go. But Aryna was not going to lose another one.

I didn't watch the speeches last night but read that Mary Castillo was asking a bunch of questions rather than letting them do a free speech. She was really annoying.
Aryna was having none of it when she was cut off before she got to finishing thanking everyone. I've just just watched a re-cap. I don't blame her for thrn milking the moment a bit.

Amanda looks heartbroken though.

Mary kept cutting off Amanda too- when the doubles finished they were told ' just say what you want' - Mary seemed determined to just skip to the trophy bit.

I'm glad the men's final starts earlier tonight- if it goes as long as someof their encounters , I might not make it to the end, but at least a 7pm start gives me a bit more of a chance

I am not sure who will win. Carlos hasn't dropped a set, Jannik possibly seems to have had more wobbles.

I’m hoping to see most of the men’s final but not sure I will if it goes to five sets (there is also a potential American football clash but I’m holding my ground!)

On the Tennis Podcast they do shoutouts and try to come up with tennis players who have the same name - today it was Keith and they declared that there were no tennis Keith’s! Of course we know differently

Yeah everything about that trophy presentation was awkward. I don’t like it when they insist on doing the speeches in an interview format, just let the players say what they want to say.

I really wish Trump wasn’t going tonight. He’d better not be presenting the trophies.

Not sure who will win. Carlos has possibly looked a little better so far but it’s very close.

The Trump stuff just has potential to over shadow things, however much they say it won't.

The interviews are pointless because the players just say what they want anyway (First question: That was a tough match, how did you get the win? Player: I want to congratulate Other Player, you played so well blah blah, and I want to thank my team blah blah)

Chessie exactly- except they didn't quite get to do that, and both had to stop Mary and thank their teams before she ushered on the trophy people.

In the women's doubles, it was almost the total opposite- they were told- just say what you like. Cue Taylor Townsend talking for about 10 minutes. And she was the runner up

If I was in the queue , and paid all that money, and (as Tim has now said) could miss the whole match because of Trump.

Plus, would it not have made sense for Trump to be on site early somewhere. It's a massive place- there have been no other matches. Plenty of corporate spaces for him to hang around in.
