TENNIS- US OPEN finals weekend continues. Then it's onwards to Japan and China.

I suppose Laver Cup and Davis Cup must be happening too soon.

The 'cramp' rule has to change.

And I fully expect that change to happen ...this afternoon, in time for Djok's match.

Jonathan has just pointed out it seems to be the top players suffering more. . I've been thinking about that a lot.

I saw one of the women players the other week (can't remember who) commenting on how the she didn't think top players should be complaining about the number of tournaments. They should just get on with it.

But the I thought at the time the big difference between them- and someone like her (she was not a 'big' name) was that they would be regularly making the latter stages of matches- in all sorts of conditions- and injuries and illnesses are more likely to happen than a player who has had more time off - having lost early every week.

I think that's what is happening this week. The top players are maybe suffering more due to the fact they have had little to no rest between tournaments.

But then, some are choosing exhibitions to add to the schedules - so it's hard to feel too much sympathy.

A cousins final would be fun

I don't know- I know a lot of things are mandatory, and there are penalties for dropping out. And the management teams might have a say- keep the sponsors sweet.

There are players trying to make a last push for the tour finals- it all seems to be a massive pressure.
