As Joel's mum left when he was an infant , would he recognise her when she rocks up to the Square ?
Joel has the roving eye or the misogynistic insult for anyone female with a pulses . If he made advances or a nasty comment to his own mother then would that be the kick up the arse he needs ?

As this is Eastenders though his next victim could be Priya ( I bet Joel is secretly attracted and repulsed at the same time as Priya is everything his internet hero rants about )

Ravi killing off Joel wouid be revenge for his daughter.
I like this idea but it would be silly for him to end up back in jail because of him.

Im not sure where they are going with the Joel story really. I’m sad that Tommy is involved as he is being nice lately and turned a corner

I think Tommy was feeling very lonely before Joel came along and is still vulnerable which is why he hasn’t binned Joel off after hearing Joel call his mum a slag.

He could arrange for Joel to go off on a nice holiday (October half term maybe ) and not come back . Send a text to Ross you don't love me or understand me . I'm out of here , going to live with Mum in -insert random country-don't try and find me. By Christmas we'll be "Joel who?"

I agree it was odd that Stacey's account was still accessible. I would have thought she would delete it, otherwise she'd keep getting 'enquiries'.

Oddly enough I don't want Joel to die. As he's so young I cling to the hope he can be rehabilitated. (I have no idea if that is realistic - probably not.)

As Joel has done more or less everything else (upskirting, videoing Avani, sexually assaulting a stranger) the next step does seem to be a more serious sexual assault. I agree Priya could be an obvious target, but I would have thought he would find her intimidating so he'd pick on someone his own age.

I think after Eve helps Avani get a termination, Joel will find out (about the pregnancy and the abortion) and hit the roof thinking he should have been consulted.

Yes, maybe Ravi could see Joel off as ‘ disappeared’ surely Ross wouid be worried ? Especially if he finds out about the baby. Although I agree that he needs to be dealt with !

Ravi isn't a genuine murderer though is he? I know he was the one who killed Ranvir in the end but didn't he go all weird when Nish ordered him to bump off Eve?

No, Ravi will probably get someone else to do Joel in if it comes to it!

Agreed re Ravi, he refused to kill Eve and let her go. He had no particular reason to harm Eve - it wasn't his idea! But he did kill Ranveer and dispose of his body (and let Kheerat take the blame) so I can see him in the heat of the moment killing Joel because of what he did to Avani.

I hope it doesn't go that way though.

Ugh god, I cant deal with an 'adolescent' type storyline 😔 - even worse than the avani baby storyline

Oh yes I read this , Ray Brooks had one the the most iconic attractive male voices .
At the moment we're ( DH, DD and I) are re watching "Endeavour" , I really like the voice of Roger Allum who plats Fred Thursday .
DD is watching it for Sean Evans but he's doing a very naice accent for his Oxford role , not his own Liverpudlian one ( which is far nicer IMO)

Just watched today's episode, I'm glad Barney and Eve have helped Avani be honest about what she actually wants. They are likely going to get the wrath of Suki now though when she finds out.

Ross was as irritating as ever. The slaters can see right through him. Vicky is also getting on my nerves, I don't understand why she's just standing back and sticking up for them both. I do wonder if Stacey or Freddie is going to end up posting something about Joel online and it leads to all the other women coming forward about what he's done. Maybe this could tie in with Fred's exit storyline as he did hit Theo to save Stacey that time.

Ross is worse than useless. I enjoyed the moment in today’s episode where Stacey called him a “deadbeat dad”.

It comes to something when Stacey slater calls you ‘ deadbeat’ ! ( I like Stacey, but her background and her history isn’t that great either)

Ross is an absolute twat. Sadly his character is very true to life.

Ross is very believable as the useless dad trying to be friends with his appalling son.

I did laugh when Suki and Eve went to find Avani at the party and Suki had her handbag on her arm, she was only going over the road with the intention of coming straight back home so why did she need that massive bag 🤣.

I'll need my keys and my phone. (No bag needed)

Vicki didn’t even want to look at his new laptop to see if Joel did share the posts about Stacey. She didn’t even mention that it was new.

Vicky is an arse. She and Joel are parasites living off Sharon's good nature. I wonder how many repayments Ross has made for the 25k loan, considering they were nearly kicked out for not even paying rent - which would have been paid by benefits they didn't even bother to apply for 🙄

Could Ross apply for benefits? He lived in Oz for years and not sure of the rules around this and claiming , but maybe they could?

Well I've tried and tried, I really didn't want to give up on Eastender but the current storylines are just not for me. There's not one I care about, the writers are really scrapping the barrel if this is the best they could come up with
