I do agree that Callum and Johnny are a more credible match.

It wouid be sad to see Phil and Lexi disown Callum if he decides to divorce Ben. Phil has had enough affairs and divorces himself ( but will still throw a huge strop) and Lexi will be all sanctimonious too.

Yes Ben has conveniently been transferred to a UK prison.

For me the problem is Callum is so wet that he doesn't have convincing chemistry with anyone. I can kind of believe his obsession with Ben despite the criminality, simply because he's so wet! I find Johnny a bit of a non-event in general, he should be a good character but I don't think the casting is right.

I much preferred the old Johnny

Agree that Johnny and callum make more sense, both dull and uninteresting

Ben and the old Johnny would be super attractive

I agree I loved original Johnny, he had charisma and spirit. This one is just dull - which I suppose suits Callum but it just makes them double dull!

Callum had chemistry with Ben and together they made a really hot couple. I’m amazed the actors playing them aren’t gay.

I was disappointed when the original Johnny left after a year. This Johnny isn’t great and neither was the second one - they’ve messed up with the casting (twice).

If Ben wasn't in prison then Callum wouldn't have looked twice at Johnny.
Lexi has lost her mum, lost her dad, is about to lose her stepdad Jay, she can't lose Callum aswell

I wonder why Ben hasn't told Callum he is being/has been transferred to the UK.

I agree Callum wouldn't give Johnny the time of day if Ben is available. I think Ben is supposed to return full time next year but don't know if it's confirmed.

The problem with this latest storyline involving Callum and his dad is that no-one is invested enough in either character to care. The dad hasn’t been around for years and is now dead after a couple of episodes. Callum is a non entity as a person and was only interesting when paired with Ben who was/is an excellent actor.

Agree with previous posts that Phil is sizing up Julie. Not his usual type but he married a similarish woman, the evil Stella who abused Ben (not that Julie is evil lol). Perhaps they’ve mentioned this random affair she had to show her head can be turned. And she mentioned the other man was a mechanic who did her MOT so there you go Phil..

I hope the kidnappers take both Nugget and Avani as the pair of them annoy me. Who are these higher up gangsters everyone is terrified off?!!

The unseen.higher up gangsters were originally introduced by Nicola. Who Ravi is scared of.

I hope that George finds out about the cukooing going on and Gina kicks Harry into touch.
The Zoe stuff was well done today , but she didn’t kill Den , so I did feel a bit sorry for her with Vicki.
She was very aggressive over someone like Den who was just so horrible to Zoe, but she has forgotten all this.
why was Ravi having people round for dinner when Priya may walk in on them all ? she isn’t aware his still doing the drug dealing.
Seemed a bit odd to me.

Re Vicky, the writers have also forgotten she knows that Den groomed 16 year old Michelle so Vicky's reaction today didn't ring true at all. I get she wouldn't be thrilled about Zoe being back, but for the most part the writers have messed up again with this.

So let me get this straight, Den was Vicki's father, right?

Was Zoe only 16 in that storyline? 😱
One of the most stomach churning storylines from EE.
The other was Phil blackmailing Juley to sleep with teenage Ruby to get at Johnny Allen.

Oh I'm sorry! I was reading @Southeastdweller post about 16 Yr old Michelle, and I got muddled with Zoe (Michelle Ryan) and Michelle Fowler.
Den impregnated Zoe to get back at Dennis didn't he, she wanted to get pregnant by Dennis to make him stay with her, but he was in love with Sharon so Den Watts persuaded Zoe to let him impregnate her to pass it off as Dennis's baby... I think 😅

Lordy lordy! That must have been when I stopped watching EE for a few years. He really was a dirty rat that Den 🤦‍♀️

Yes that's right re Den/Dennis/Zoe. It was a really scummy storyline.

What a boring episode today. And far too much shouting. Vicki is an appalling hypocrite. Are we supposed to like her?

Is Freddie never leaving, it was announced ages ago and he’s still here.

And what the heck was that with Ravi giving dinner to his drug dealing comrades, as you say 80s that was ridiculous.

Zoe thinks that weird bloke she smacked over the head is running round London trying to shoot her? He looked barely capable of leaving his room.

None of what is happening feels like a proper storyline. We go round in circles with Ravi and Jack, but mostly we are waiting for the Next New Big Thing - Zoe’s return, Max’s return, Ben’s return. Then when they arrive it's a non event.

Bored of the Ravi/Harry/Okie drugs stuff.
Bored of the Ravi/JackandJack feud.
Bored of Zoe's "big return" storyline - all she's done since her return is berate Kat and throw stroppy tantrums.
It all seems to be going around in circles, as you say.

Vicki and Kathy surprised me today with the vitriol, but the problem is it’s vague what went on 20 odd years ago so it’s hard to know if it’s justified ( although Vicki probably doesn’t know the full story maybe ?’

I am not sure exactly what Vicki knows, but she said thought all three of them should be locked up. Was she actually in Walford when Den died? I bet neither Vicki nor Zoe know Chrissie is out, will Shaz ever tell them?

@NowNumber5 the drugs storyline is really grating on me now, I hate them at the best of times but this one is neverending!

Will Chrissie return? Was her brief and wonderful appearance a one-off?

Did anyone see what looked like a mop of blonde curly hair in the bottom right of the screen when Harry and Okie were squaring up in Kojo's flat?!?

I rhink that Vicki's anger is bizarre and unnecessary 😒😒
