I've hated this entire Avani storyline. It's undone so much of Suki's character development over the past few years. At this point I think Suki needs to get therapy and learn to relate to people without trying to control everything.

I loved how they all packed their things in five minutes and now she is all alone. I hope she now reflects on her behavior and how toxic it was.

i'm so bored of this Joel crap already.

How long are we going to have to put up with this bullshit before he gets his comeuppance?

Now I've seen the episode I can see why the police didn't take any action. Stacey has no evidence that Joel did it. I don't know enough about what exactly Joel would do, and how he'd hide it, to know if it's realistic but it sounds it.

I hate what they did to Suki with this storyline, but I liked today's scenes with the Panesars. Joel is good at looking as if he's wondering how he should react, because the misogynistic bluster doesn't quite come naturally to him (yet).

The scenes in the garage really were amdram as others have said. And it was so obvious they were in the pay of Okie.

Tbh I'm not entirely sure how much of the eastenders police intervention (or lack of) is actually believable and i do get it's all fictional in a sense but i do think they mirror real life procedures more for people who may be in these situations. The Stacey/Joel thing may be accurate but based on next weeks spoiler with Kojo being arrested by Jack for taking drugs, that (as far as im aware) isn't actually something that usually happens irl unless there is evidence to supply the drugs to others or still being in possession of that drug, unless its going to turn into a target race thing, like with Avani that time.

@InALonelyWorld You would be arrested for possession of class A drugs. I don't think they have ever said what the drugs are, but we saw Kojo flushing white powder down the bog, which was probably cocaine (could be heroin) both are Class A.

Of course that would be possession if he was caught at the time but from what I've read, next weeks spoilers says Okie gives Kojo a pill to calm him down, George finds him and takes him to Phils to come down, Jack turns up and arrests Kojo. Unless he is in possession of more pills there would be no grounds to actually arrest him. I obviously don't know what happens in detail because it hasn't aired yet but the spoilers sound like he is going to be arrested for just taking drugs. I just cant see either Kojo or George still sitting with several more pills to warrant a possession arrest though, is what I'm trying to say🤷🏽‍♀️

Whole thing is bizarre - from what I’ve read, Jack doesn’t even know what kind of pill Kojo swallowed! And you can’t get arrested for taking a class a drug anyway. As mentioned earlier, this is likely a way to for Kojo to leave as in the police find out he’s living in the UK illegally.

Maybe the arrest is due to a tip off that Kojo is hiding drugs in his flat?

Joel is even more vile in today's episode.

I'm baffled though, wondering how Ravi and Priya have managed to get that fancy flat so quick, never mind how they are actually supposed to afford it 🤦🏽‍♀️

I've just seen that they are finally reuniting Priya and Ravi. I was thinking yesterday they really need to be together.

Did anyone else notice Ravi's blue stripey shirt he was wearing in last night's episode? It looked brand new out of the packet to me and made a nice change to the tight T-shirts he normally wears!

Wow! Joel’s acting was off the scale today.
He is such a good actor and only 18 .. makes a change as many couldn’t carry off that part as well as he does.

I agree 80s - he is superb. It is very rare that I feel so immersed when watching a TV show to the point where I'm almost shouting at the screen but that last scene in today's episode with Joel and Vicky was hugely absorbing. Alice Haig (Vicky) was also fab.

Does anybody know how much notice the writers would have got about Suki leaving? The break up was so sudden.

The Joel storyline is really dragging on. He's an incel, we get it. Now can someone do something about it?

She's not leaving as far as I know. Strictly is filmed in the same studios as EE so logistically she can do both (but I imagine she won't have any big stories for a while).

I meant temporarily leaving. It seems like they felt the need to explain her absence so I assume she's barely going to be in it for the next three-ish months.

I know his not in it much , but Vinny was funny today and what a nice looking man, haven’t noticed this before.
I guess that Mr Lister’s attitude today towards Honey was similar ( if a bit more gentle ) to Joel’s attitude towards women. I did like her comment about the Freemasons and his connections.

It’s Joel’s delivery , how convinced he is that he is right.
He isn’t listening to anyone at all apart from these online videos he watches.

With Heather Pearce's (Eve) recent cancer battle i assume it could be the scriptwriters needing to provide some storylines that would make a quick exit or less filming time easier for her to manage without it affecting the show timeline. I don't think its anything to do with the strictly line-up.

I’m not sure how this storyline with Joel is going to end up but I can’t see it being a happy ending.

He's a cracking actor - I just want to slap some sense in to him. That whole incel etc movement.

If I was Vicky, I think I would manoeuvre him in to hitting me in front of Ross.

Joel would say he didn't mean it and Ross would send him to his room for an hour then buy him a doughtnut and tell him he's a good boy really.

He was terrifying today. The actor is exceptional and hopefully has a good career ahead of him. I can't remember the last time a teen was that good in a soap.
