greengreyblue · 06/07/2025 18:59

Doubleraspberry · 06/07/2025 19:52

Cathy’s partner DOESN’T play board games.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/07/2025 20:47

And Just like that S3 con't (and hopefully S4) the one where we hope Carrie finally bins Aidan
Umbilicat · 06/07/2025 21:12

lol @Blondeshavemorefun

I’m on the verge of losing my patience now – the agent thing is just getting boring and the Brit is just as bad- like anyone would seriously go to New York to write in quiet. Pur-lease

greengreyblue · 06/07/2025 21:33

Oooh I don’t have one of those.

Sux2buthen · 06/07/2025 22:23

Could you send you post again please @Blondeshavemorefun I think I missed it Grin

BrianWankum · 06/07/2025 22:45

😂

I've been watching old SATC. Series 2 ends with Carrie saying "Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run with." To which I blurted out, well that's not fucking Aiden is it!

I think he told her about Kathy and she thought for a moment and realised she just didn't actually give a shit.

Claymoreiron · 06/07/2025 22:59

Started rewatching SATC. Forgot it was only 30 minutes long. They are all so young and pretty.

Looking at it now, I find Samantha tedious. They way she letches after men is unpleasant

GellerYeller · 07/07/2025 08:35

Was I the only one finding Carrie overly precious about her ‘vintage’ glass? If they’d been in a longer relationship surely she’d have been told to get over herself, no way would Aiden have been driving all over the place to replace it.
Plus they’re rich enough to find a company that specialises in what we’d call listed buildings here.
Then I really overthought it and realised that place must be draughty as hell!

You are not the only one. I felt sorry for Aidan about that. But also for Carrie, it was the straw that broke the camel's back, I think, after buying that house for Aidan and his horrible brood.

I'm assuming Aiden did all of that running around to get the perfect glass because of his guilt (and it also got him out of the house bec he couldn't face Carrie). Had he not slept with Kathy, he may well have told Carrie to get over it and that they'll find something.

I think Carrie was justified in being angry about the glass. I mean, what kind of muppet chucks a rock at a glass window, esp in that type of historic house?

And I guess Aiden meeting Duncan and then leaving his script on the table is his man-baby way of ending the relationship. After what Carrie said, he probably put 2 and 2 together and got 5. So he sulked off back home without even a conversation. A muppet and a coward. Hope that's the end of him.

Doubleraspberry · 07/07/2025 09:16

It was all just a big old metaphor. The glass is precious and so is their relationship. Aidan broke the glass through carelessness and broke the relationship by sleeping with Cathy. How is he going to fix both of these things? Yada yada.

Lottapianos · 07/07/2025 09:16

I didn't get that at all but I would LOVE if it turned out that way! He was planning to leave anyway and I guess the table was the obvious place to leave the script. He certainly is a muppet though

Newgirls · 07/07/2025 09:30

I loved the episode

I think Aidan placing the chapter on the table is his ‘ok I can see you have a new relationship here’

loved the theatrical woman at the funeral

Harry, joy and Brady were great

GellerYeller · 07/07/2025 13:42

I agree there’s muppetry of the highest order on Aiden’s part and they may be using Jonathan Cake as a love interest.
Short term presumably as he eats home made mutton.
I’ve previously been able to overlook Carrie’s self involved tendencies but ‘my window panes must be one of a kind, irreplaceable, rainbow inducing historical artefacts’ seems to have me triggered!
I did enjoy Bitsy being potentially frozen out of the A list and furious with Tiffany though.

PurplebeadedFendi · 07/07/2025 15:50

I can't imagine mutton being readily for sale in Manhattan. Or him cooking it, tbh. I hope there's not some mutton dressed as lamb metaphor going on here.

It's just such a lazy trope about the kind of thing we eccentric, barbaric Brits eat all the time, along with scones at 4pm

Yes I thought it was some little dig about 'British food' being disgusting

I agree.
Also, as if Charlotte would be buying male nappies , she’d get them delivered!

Umbilicat · 07/07/2025 17:00

Though personally I thought Carrie was being a knob about not taking her shoes off (though she did in the end) AND the glass. Didn't Aiden always throw stones at her window in the olden days and she'd find it delightful? And like Charlotte, he wouldn't drive around, he'd go online ...
