I understood the not wanting Aiden to speak to the guy downstairs as being about her knowing he would be doing it for trust reasons. She asked him not to speak to Duncan because speaking to him was going to be an invasive, suspicious grilling and she is coming to like/respect him and appreciates having him to work with. She didn’t want Aiden embarrassing her with his jealous probing, or doing mental shit like coming down and disturbing them when she said they’re working.

It reminded me of my XH who would take a dislike to a man I knew however vaguely, and would get embarrassing and heavy handed around them/me. Very overt and ridiculous and it infuriated me. One of the many reasons on the divorce list.

Yes I did consider a random royal, Friends style! As many stereotypes as we can throw at this thing, basically. That’s what the writers would do I think!

I’ve been watching this thread and dipping in and out. The reason I’m posting is to ask if there’s anyone else wondering what on earth happened to Charlotte? Well, Kristin Davis? She wasn’t that bad acting-wise in the original SATC but she has progressively become more and more appalling, to the point that I can barely watch.
Her falling over with vertigo honestly made me hide behind my own hands in embarrassment…

We finally reached the end of the first series of Succession at the weekend and were unsurprised to see the humble home of the British ex-wife.

But why is the kitchen so small for a house of that size?

I guess the original owners had staff work in the kitchen so it was small. She hasn’t knocked through as she doesn’t cook much? Reminds us that it isn’t really a home for aiden and kids?

I lived in many different apartments in NYC in the mid-to-late 90s (and visited friends in even more). The kitchens are always tiny, no matter how big the apartment is. I lived in one studio apartment where the hallway leading to the bathroom was bigger than the kitchen! Not sure if that's comparable to Carrie's type of house (likely isn't haha), but yeah NYC apt kitchens are/used to be ridiculously small.

One of the most touching scenes in AJLT was when Steve had that talk with Miranda in S 1 when she wanted to leave, about the joys of a quiet life eating dessert and talking about Brady at the end of the day.

They did Steve so dirty in the first series- he was famously a top shagger in SATC, now all of a sudden we're meant to believe he is incapable of fingering his wife? Fair enough long term relationships can get routine and the sex can dry up a bit etc, but it's like they just totally changed his personality into one of a total bumbling moron.
