Bad move killing Martin off ,he could off just left for bit
It feels very weak at the moment, nothing happening at all

The writers have lost their way a bit I feel.

Perhaps Priya will go on the cruise, team up with a charismatic barman/cocktail steward with a mysterious past and no recollection of his life before the cruise company gave him a job. She is intrigued as he has an East End accent. She brings her mystery man back to Walford where he is recognised as...all together now...Mick.
Just an idea.

That's not even that far fetched compared to what's going on.

@Summerseagulls no Lily hasn't left. The actress is having a break for her exams, she'll be back.

I like the idea of Priya meeting Mick on her paid for cruise ! The irony of Elaine doing something stupid but it turning into this would be epic.
Instead they will probably have improbable story around Zoe being found in a bar in Barcelona about to be kidnapped and Alfie fighting them off.
( although the set would look more like a place in Basildon )
Bringing her back to stay with Jean lucky girl!

Zoe will def have to bunk in with Jean. We've already had the 'alcoholic living in the Vic' x 2 with Phil and Linda, so we don't need to go through it again with Zoe.

The Joel story is only saved because the actor is believable. It’s a grim story though , it’s all a bit doom and gloom lately. They need a bit more humour which Kim has to carry alone sometimes

Joel is the new Dean wicks isn’t he! They do like to recycle old storylines. He was vile to women and raped Linda.

I’m getting some humour from the relationship between Phil and Nigel. It is lovely. And they can both act thank goodness.

I agree, I love the scenes with Phil and Nigel, who would have thought they would be the ones providing some humour! (I find Kim as funny as toothache 😬)

Actually scenes with Phil and anyone are pretty good at the moment. I wanted him to get back with Shaz but I am not sure I do any more, he is great on his own, helping Nigel and Linda.

Yes. Phil and Nigel are good together
I’d like Phil to stay friends with Linda and not have a romance with her really as his relationships end up in a bad way or he cheats :(
L needs someone on her side.

I think Phil is their strongest character at the moment and massively under used
I'd like him back running the Vic ,maybe with Linda or Sharon
Definitely not with kat ,they didn't go well together at all I thought

The actor, Pierre Moullier (aged about 24, so far as I can see) is half French and half Irish.

Any other 17yo for him to be mates with? Will - is he still around?

Phil and Sharon back at the Vic would be great

I don’t know why they insist on occasionally casting actors who’re much older than their teenage characters. There won’t be a shortage of talented actors who’re teenagers and can credibly play their roles. I get that adults have more time and flexibility than people under 18 who’re still in education, but it seems especially ridiculous when someone 18-20 could be playing Oscar.

Oscar looks quite like Max - believable!

Given his ridiculous age difference to the character he had better be good! You would think they could find an 18/19 year old who could do the job.

It does feel like we've already got more than enough teens on the Square though.

The idea of Max’s wayward son appearing isn’t filling me with any Hope tbh. We already have sex offender Joel and Tommy involved , not to mention Avani and Denzil , Amy and maybe others I’ve missed. All of them have had problems of some sort, now a newbie on the block to cause more mayhem :(

Joel is only 17 and doing well. Maybe they couldn’t find anyone to play Oscar who was younger ?
Might be more difficult because of exams / school etc?
Where will he live ? With Jack ?

I'm guessing he and Max will live with Lauren and her kids in Sonia's house.

80s there is also Ricky, Lexi, and Will and Janet.

Oscar is bound to be involved in something dodgy!

Janet has been the model student hasn’t she! I know we don’t see her much , but she is always a delight and hasn’t been caught up in too many teen dramas that I can recall anyway ! ?
Amy has her head screwed on too.
The boys are always in trouble lately

Maybe Oscar will turn out to be an upstanding citizen, Scout leader and youth mentor?
