Eve and Suki are well matched though, remember Eve had all the businesses transferred over to Nish when she was angry with Suki!

I don’t remember Eve doing this with Nish, but there was a lot going on when Nish was around and he was another master manipulator too.

It did make me laugh how outraged they all were at having the emergency services at their door when it’s nearly a monthly occurrence in Walford for something or another.
Was nice to see they have a social media account to all stay in touch.
Suki is annoying me, she really is in cloud cuckoo land over all this. At least Eve is now realizing how none of it is good.
The rest was a bit boring and all the creeping around in the dark means I can’t see what’s going on!

I’m surprised at Suki, she’s never been a mother hen , been a horrendous , evil mother, and now she’s risking her marriage. I think she would have marched Avani off to the abortion clinic asap if they’d written her true to form!

The really weird turnabout is that while Suki was dreadful with her own children, she was always brilliant with Nugget and Avani. She was always kind to Nugget and was so supportive when Avani was mistreated by the police. Now for plot reasons she's turned back into a monster.

So in the title of the thread , and I'm surprised they've put it out there but glad they are not padding it out for weeks , Avani has a change of heart next week and her & Eve go back to the abortion clinic and she has one .

There is fall out with Joel next week according to my tv guide , as if he isn’t bad enough already :(

I wonder if that's when everyone will find out about the video? Awful for Avani, who has enough on her plate and limited support.

The scene with Oscar telling baby Jimmy he loves him was very sweet and sad.

Well at least Oscar rang the ambulance. He wants to break his restrictions re the tag to go back to prison. He's in serious trouble though I'm sure a defence can be made for him. Poor Patrick x

Regarding incelJoel, he's a piece of work who will always bring heartache and trouble to those involved with him. Nasty.

Oscar does very bad things but isn't fundamentally a bad person.
Both demonstrate maladaptive behaviours.
But Joel is evil.
Interesting story re Joel though - what do you DO if you have a child like this?

Did Ross say Joel’s mum was called Chloe?
Agree that Vicki’s line about ‘ what are we going to do with him’ ? was sad. What can you do ? He upsets Stacey next week. Luckily they have found a young actor who can carry this off.

Joel actor is so convincing.

The Joel actor is very good. The character is very messed up, Ross is out of his depth.

Joel’s mum is called Cleo not Chloe ! I was confused there

Ross wants it all to go away, not facing up to things.
Which is quite realistic really as many just bury their heads especially about their own kids.

Slight bit of realism yesterday with Elaine’s woes over getting a job! It has changed a lot since she last had to look for anything and takes ages , all online and so on and she probably doesn’t want to be just a barmaid
after having her own pubs for years either. Hard to go from manager to employee after so long.
I read she ends up working with Cindy, but in real life it would be hard to find some thing suitable at her age too. Places are ageist.
She has got over George fairly quickly!

She started working with Cindy today but where would a sixty-something single person live in the long term as she wouldn’t get a mortgage and the money from the sale of the Vic wouldn’t last long. I’d like it if they explored this a little.

South, must be many around like Elaine, she can draw a pension now , but still having to rent a place and on your own as well looking for a job that’s suitable to do in your late 60s. Not easy. I know someone a bit younger than her in this position and it’s hard for them.
Shes probably lived rent / mortgage free above the pubs too, so that is a nasty shock having to pay these bill on top of everything else.
The money from the pub will also need to stretch to Linda and her two as well. Linda will need a job, but she is a bit younger I suppose ( and childcare costs to consider )
All things that they air brush on EE sometimes.

Renting in east London is thousands a month.
Kojo seems to manage ok, but again that’s not what would happen in real life. His place looks nice as well.
( I know he has two lodgers now, but he did get it on his own originally)

Kojo arrived as a very vulnerable person with significant support needs including supervision. He has now got a job and a flat which isn't consistent with his condition a year or so ago. I wish TV shows wouldn't airbrush the difficultes of lifelong disabilities.

Oh , they airbrush loads. I know that his brother is there now for Kojo , but there is all this going on with the drugs and Harry and he hasn’t noticed yet! (Too busy seeing Nicola… )
No way could he afford that nice flat on mechanics wages alone and all the other bills. I supppse now G and H are chipping in it’s a bit easier , but before it was very far fetched indeed.
