Even if i ever wanted another kid later on in my late 20's or something with a dh id be weary about having another child with a different dad

It would proberly stop me having any more later in life.

amner · 22/05/2008 21:58

Awwwwww... he's loverly

Jaysfinished · 22/05/2008 21:58

he IS beautiful baby!

AitchTwoCiao · 22/05/2008 21:58

really? i don't know them, i don't care about la la la my taxes are paying for that family etc etc but i do think it's amazing that there must have come a point where they knew that they couldn't make enough money to pay for their family and still kept going...

lovely wee boy, though.

Indith · 22/05/2008 21:58

Tiny little baby!!!!

CrackerOfNuts · 22/05/2008 21:59

I want to do it all again, the newborn bit, the sleepless nights, the walking to school whilst they scream their tiny head off because they are hungry.

Heated · 22/05/2008 22:00

Gets out rose tinted specs

Heated · 22/05/2008 22:00

me too!

hatwoman · 22/05/2008 22:00

expat - more on one of the families here: they seem lovely (if, imho, barking )

expatinscotland · 22/05/2008 22:00

yeah, see, that's where I am, too, Aitch.

i mean, our taxes go to fund illegal wars, taxi rides so MP's wives can go shopping, MPs' TV licenses, Tesco to put British farmers out of business and pay non-living wages to people and on and on, so what's a few families?

but yes, there must come a point where that food and petrol bill would just be ginormous.

but they all have council housing.

a HUGE bonus.

MsHighwater · 22/05/2008 22:01

Don't really want to speculate on the financial aspect. Remember the Duggars who have just had number 18 and are debt-free.

We all get child benefit just for having kids. If 2 can live as cheaply as one, how many can 14 live cheaper than?

anniebear · 22/05/2008 22:01

Oh I would love to add my thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (knowing one of the families!!!!! lol lol)

I wanted six at the very least.

bloody pelvis.

findtheriver · 22/05/2008 22:01

hmm was rather liking the liverpool mummy, but she seems to only really want newborns. Shame she can't enjoy them so much as they grow up.

MamaMaiasaura · 22/05/2008 22:02

wasnt he just gorgeaus Even tho i have my little (nearly 5 month old) one asleep upstairs i am looking forward to doing it all again.

I actually get the whole large family thing but i dont think i would actually have that many. Dp and I are looking at 3 although I would have loved 6.

anniebear · 22/05/2008 22:03

I thought the Liverpool ones came across ok , but then anyone would compared to those other 2 families !!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 22/05/2008 22:03

'Remember the Duggars who have just had number 18 and are debt-free.'

Because they don't pay taxes, MrsH. That's why. Most people would be debt free if they didn't have that fucking albatross of tax to pay.

MamaMaiasaura · 22/05/2008 22:04

The scottish family seemed great. Wastn so sure about Mohammeds family though, wife seemed not so enthusiatstic and he didnt seem to give a rats arse about her well being. Like playing football? wtf you try pushing a football out of tiny hole.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2008 22:05

Anniebear, which family do you know?

billa · 22/05/2008 22:05

Let him carry the babies to full term then give birth, he'll soon change his mind.

anniebear · 22/05/2008 22:05

the Liverpool ones

findtheriver · 22/05/2008 22:06

WHy dont the Duggars pay taxes??? Have i missed something?

KayHarker · 22/05/2008 22:06

oh, I love the Duggars. The only problem I have with them is their media-courting.

But I know plenty of big families like them that are lovely. A bit matching-dresses-for-everyone, but lovely with it.

expatinscotland · 22/05/2008 22:07

they declared their home and family a church. that's how they get out of paying tax. and that includes most sales taxes.

churches are charities, too, and can accept monies without paying the same tax as you and me.

expatinscotland · 22/05/2008 22:07

all fundamentalists are frightening and what's even scarier is a society that lauds any sort of fundamentalism.
