Just tuning in half way through tonight’s episode and couldn’t see another thread. Is this a new series?

@StinkingEelPieone was a tax advisor and the other an accountant. She already has a flat in the city. They said at the beginning good savings and a big mortgage. I think they must earn a lot. I’m finding them irritating but I don’t know why! They’re very ‘Barnes’ 🤣

I like the flat the doctor bought but I think she should have bought a two bed. The Raynes Park last flat was lovely but the area was more important I guess.

What do these two do to have that amount of money?

It said at the start they were an accountant and a tax advisor.

I have to say that the train line would be an absolute deal breaker for me.

Yes, me too. And I lived quite close to the train line when in Barnes, that I could hear trains in the distance from the garden. But definitely not SEE them as well 🙃

Turmerictolly · 11/06/2025 21:02

Can’t believe £1.25 million for a house with a train track at the bottom of the garden. I know Barnes is an expensive area but that would have been a deal breaker. It was very noisy when they stood in the garden.

They look quite similar…

Turmerictolly · 11/06/2025 21:03

I thought that too!

what does PDA mean?

NCTDN · 11/06/2025 21:03

They were far too feely!

Johnbrown · 11/06/2025 21:03

what does PDA mean?

Public displays of affection

MissyB1 · 11/06/2025 21:05

He insisted on the Barnes house, she clearly had fallen for the Kingston one (which I also thought was better). Hope she doesn't regret giving in to him.

The flat the Dr bought was lovely, I'd have bought it.

Johnbrown · 11/06/2025 21:05

👍yes nauseating

kingprawnspaghetti · 11/06/2025 21:06

I think the man in that couple was a bit domineering… I think he overruled his wife to choose Barnes. I think she would have picked the first Kingston house (so would I).
The Trainline so close was not great - with a family they will likely spend a lot of time in the back garden, with not a lot of privacy - and was it fake grass???

Yeah he made her cry. He was clearly the decision maker in the couple and she gave in to him….

When did he make her cry? I must have missed that bit!

NCTDN · 11/06/2025 21:10

She so obviously wanted the other one!

You mean the man and woman in the couple? Yes. Very Barbie and Ken in a less glamorous way.

ThePoshUns · 11/06/2025 21:17

They will soon regret buying the house with a railway line at the end of the garden. For £1.25m!
I liked the Kingston house that was under budget best, they could have really done a lot with it.

Well not specifically 😂. But when they saw Kirsty the next day to tell
her their decision he was all smug and she was in tears (as she was clearly upset about not getting the other house).

If I was crying about losing a house my DH would have a rethink! He seemed to steam roller her in to the Barnes house and not care about her feelings…

It was a shame they couldn’t see the huge potential with that house. It was a good price and had good bones!

I guess they didn’t fancy doing the work. But I think they’ll regret it in the future.

Meredusoleil · 11/06/2025 21:09

When they were telling Kirsty which house they would go for. He told Kirsty that his wife had been the one who compromised.

AnneElliotfanclub · 11/06/2025 22:13

Incredibly mean not to compromise when his wife clearly didn't want the Barnes house. All that PDA at the beginning but not prepared to make a choice that made her actually happy.

CuarloDeFonza · 11/06/2025 22:37

I found the couple irritating and I'm not quite sure why, that fake weird dance pose they held at the start didn't help the irritation levels and now I'm aware they paid £1,250,0000 for a house with it's own rail track going through the living room. He was domineering and she was weirdly submissive, despite their great jobs the trust fund from his dad has probably been decimated, hence why she gave in to Barnes, Odd pair. Good luck to them, but I wouldn't pay that much for those houses even if I had the money.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 11/06/2025 23:11

The couple were awful. I hated all the posing and unnecessary PDAs. Never seen any other couple behave in such a way on Location, Location, Location. It made me very uncomfortable and I could bet that he is very controlling and actually not a very nice person behind closed doors. The Kingston house was much bigger and better. She clearly didn’t want to live in a house with a train track at the bottom of the garden. The poor woman was crying about it! Even Kirsty didn’t look impressed. Would love to know what she thought!
He just wanted the postcode. What a snob. She’ll probably be on MN in a couple of years asking for how to leave him!

AutumnLover1989 · 12/06/2025 07:34

I didn't like that couple. Don't know why. The train track wouldn't have bothered me. My grandparents had one at the bottom of their garden and you got used to it. The house wasn't all that imho.

Chloe seemed lovely. I would have gone for the last property.
