Come check in for bank holiday Monday’s ep!

No spoilers.

Ah yes I remember Sonya heard/ saw them.

I would watch those again except I couldn’t watch Sonya die again.

TheodoraCrumpet · 20/11/2025 16:06

I'm sure I remember Susan going apeshit at Karl after she learned that Izzy was pregnant, because he'd refused to consider having another child with her while they were together.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 20/11/2025 18:52

The writers have done the parallels well.

paranoiaofpufflings · 20/11/2025 23:41

@Pinkfluffypencilcase I felt really affected by Sonya’s death! I don’t read spoilers so I didn’t know it was coming, I thought she was going to recover from the cancer. They did that storyline brilliantly.
Mind you, I also have never got over the deaths of Madge, Helen, Daphne, Kate, Todd, Kerry.

I was the same @paranoiaofpufflings & then couldn’t get over how the following day she was gone from the opening credits! Brutal!!

EconomyClassRockstar · 21/11/2025 00:03

Another one who watched from the start. The 535pm slot was genius as it got all of us who had finished watching Grange Hill, etc sucked right in!

It was brutal! The removal from credits was far too swift.

@paranoiaofpufflings same. I do my best to avoid spoilers as I like to go on the journey.

RomanMum · 21/11/2025 23:38

In other news, Nat was in Return to Paradise tonight, and Haz is in next week’s episode!

Smidge001 · 22/11/2025 00:23

It's really annoying me that when Sadie speaks to Holly she refers to 'Andrew' all the time instead of saying 'Dad', or 'my Dad'. It is ridiculous and annoys me so much Angry

EconomyClassRockstar · 22/11/2025 02:33

I agree! Once she stopped yelling about "my Dad" it instantly went to Andrew. It's a far more effective argument when she calls him her Dad anyway. It hits the point!

MiddleClassProblem · 22/11/2025 07:40

I’m assuming the writers think it shows her distancing herself from him but I think it only works when she’s talking to him as a way to hurt him but talking to Holly “my dad” would have much more impact as you said.

My prediction after today’s episode (Mon 24th Nov) is that a disaster the equivalent of Lockerbie (although they did that, didn’t they) is going to land on Ramsay Street and the Lassiter’s Complex and it will wipe out the whole cast.

paranoiaofpufflings · 24/11/2025 19:12

They already did a plane crash, that’s how Paul lost his leg.
But no, surely the ending will tie in to this new freeway being built. It’s supposed to go through the next suburb, but why else would they be talking about it in every episode?
I’m really hoping something ‘big’ is coming in the next week or two though. Since we are almost at the end I thought by now a good storyline would be kicking in. But so far we’ve got the break up of the Rodwell’s marriage which already seems to be background news, and a mystery over someone we don’t know in the council.

Mumofteenandtween · 24/11/2025 22:13

Presumably that is Sam leaving. Am really quite annoyed about it. She has never once had a storyline. She has been basically a very amiable sofa cushion. Do the producers / writers think that people with disabilities don’t have relationships or friendship issues or just get really pissed off about the fact that their dad actually bought the house and now his ex fiancé seems to have moved half the world in!

BareBelliedSneetch · 25/11/2025 12:55

Awwww, Lanzini’s - that always used to be the special place for fancy nights out. They haven’t mentioned it for ages!

Shoecamp · 25/11/2025 16:37

Agh, I feel really sad at today’s episode

paranoiaofpufflings · 25/11/2025 17:47

I agree about Sam. When she arrived and was made PA to the head of the hotel I thought it was a bit of a stretch, but at least she was seen and doing something. Since the reboot she’s barely been there, just popping up with an occasional line. Such a shame.

Lanzini’s!! And we got a ‘rack off’ too. Two blasts from the past.

In the least surprising news ever, the freeway is re-routed. I’ve long suspected that was the end of the street, but now I wonder if they at the last minute will manage to block the plans and save the street. A bit like before, when they were all going to move away but then all ended up staying at the last-minute.

Makeitstop2025 · 25/11/2025 19:07

I'm wondering if they're leaving a door open for a return one day. Bulldozing over the street would be difficult to come back from!

EconomyClassRockstar · 25/11/2025 21:51

I felt a bit sorry for Sam as the actress seemed to be struggling emotionally with the ending scenes. I’m glad they gave a nod to her, even though it was a bit weird.

I love a Rack Off. I would love it if that was the last two words in the finale. Like, they save the street and the baddie behind it all gets a Rack Off from Susan or Paul. That would be perfection!

Whatthetrolley · 25/11/2025 22:40

I spy a Paul and Therese wedding in the street before it gets flattened!

Edit to add this is my guess for the final episode

WhyDoesItAlways · 25/11/2025 23:13

I do wonder if they'll flatten the street so that if there is any future reboot they can just film at the sets and not need to use the street. I know the home owners have restrictions on what they can do to the exterior of their properties (see the big deal made of Theresa's landscaping) plus must be a general pain in the butt if theyre filming in your front garden when you need to pop to the shops so I wonder if there is some discontent among the real life residents or if they are being paid which is too costly.

According to AI (so take with a pinch of salt!), they get paid between 33 and 50k dollars per year for the use of their properties, depending on how much they are used.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 26/11/2025 01:12

That’s a lot of cash.

I can’t tell if theyre killing it off for good or paving the way for a cheaper reboot.

Loved the rack off Sue.
And how Sue was laughing at the thought of Ramsey street being bull dozed.

paranoiaofpufflings · 26/11/2025 01:25

I’ve seen several interviews over the summer with different people, all have consistently said it’s definitely ending, but that the possibility remains for “something creative” to be done in future if the opportunity presented. Hence no plane crashing onto the street.
Scott Major (former actor now director) hinted at the possibility of one-off specials in an interview. That would be lovely to see. A bit like Downtown Abbey when they moved to films instead of series!

paranoiaofpufflings · 26/11/2025 01:27

Neighbours: The Movie
Where the freeway destroyed the street so they’ve all moved into Eirini Rising/Lassiters.
