Paul Robinson wanted to learn from the vicar how to support vulnerable people in the community. Carol Brown asks him for help, he runs straight home to tell his family everything she said 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m enjoying how often everyone is out of the street so far. We have the pool, the bank, the city, the “slum”, the ruined monastery, the beach, the shops, now Scott and Danny out in the countryside. It seemed towards the end they were always at home.

Yes I liked that they are all over the place.
What’s that triangle wooden building during the end credits?

Pail seems to be caring and kind in his early years. Wonder when he changed.

I remember him having a breakdown in his office when Gail left. I’m not sure if that’s when he began getting evil.

Paul’s first marriage, which will be coming up soon, doesn’t go very well for him. That must have turned him into dastardly ways.

Today’s was an advert for dog rescue shelters in Australia. 😂

I can’t believe Jim / AlanDale was only 38!!I thought he was 50+

Oh my god!

Well according to wiki and Jim is meant to be 45.

Absolutely no way!!!! He looked 60yrs old! Is that how old we look at his age 🫠

I was wondering, watching it earlier, how old Helen Daniels was meant to be. It didn't cross my mind that Jim was under 40. Or even 50.

I think Jim looks older because of his hair (lack of and grey). Helen is supposed to be in her 60s although Anne Haddy was only in her 50s but looked older.

I am a little behind, I’ve caught up to where Scott and Danny come home. I loved Mrs Forbes and that storyline! I’m sure I recognise her from the Young Doctors. Did anyone else watch that?

I got annoyed with Helen a couple of episodes back, when her gossipy neighbour referred to Maria as being Czechoslovakian, and Helen patronisingly said ‘no, she’s Australian like us’ as though the neighbour had been racist. But living in a country even taking citizenship doesn’t change where she came from. And Dasha Blahova is Czech and lives there again now.

I am very much enjoying the early Neighbours again! It’s strange, some of it I remember so clearly I can almost know what lines they are going to say before they say it. Then some of it I have no memory of at all. Des and Daphne are my favourites at the moment and I know they were my original favourites too.

The reason I searched Jim’s age was Anna. I thought hang on she looks 30s and he’s 50s.

im a bit behind too. Catching up on eps I missed. Shane and Danny are back from camping and the camera Anna used at the market brought back nostalgia. Things were fun to use back then!

I am fully up to date on episodes now, I had a Neighbours marathon catch up this morning!
Is anyone else still watching?

Why do they never call the police about missing children? We had Scott and Danny run off across the country for weeks, no police called. Then there was Max’s neighbour, disappeared with his baby. His wife/baby’s mother didn’t report to police, just waited for him to get in touch!

The whole storyline of Paul being the father of David and Leo, Kim’s twins, just doesn’t work now we have seen this played out again. Even today, she’s already pregnant and Paul says “it’s Paul, we met at the squat”, hardly likely she’d forget who he was if she’d conceived a pregnancy with him! I don’t know what the writers were thinking when they wrote in him being their father. It feels so… predatory and sick.

I was expecting the arrival of Bouncer but we have Basil! I have no memory of Basil at all.

I am looking forward to Des and Daphne getting together properly soon. And I believe we met Paul’s future first wife last week, I think she was the secretary at his job interview.

I’m still watching but a bit behind.

Rewatching from the beginning

Ha, like this author I also have a couple of missed years through travel. But whenever I was away, I made my mum watch and then send me a daily narrative of each episode! She dutifully obliged my demands!

I’m about 10 episodes behind, but where I’ve got up to I was excited to see Linda Hartley appear as Paul’s girlfriend, Gloria. A few years before she went on to be Kerry Bishop.
