Stefan Dennis has withdrawn from Strictly! Leg injury he says, whilst making a joke about it being the same leg as Paul’s (instagram post). A shame. He wasn’t the best dancer but I enjoyed watching him.

I'm feeling quite sympathetic towards Holly right now(I know most people on here won't agree though!) But she's had her hopes up for ages, and has been crushed and stomped on so many times since the reboot that I really wanted her to have some sort of happy ending, even if it meant the break up of hot rod and Wendy. (I've never really clicked with the Wendy character either, so that may be influencing me somewhat).

I am 100% on Holly’s side, even though I don’t like her as a character. Shes 21 and in love with a 40 something. Her heart is being smashed right now. Freakin Andrew….

EconomyClassRockstar · 21/10/2025 04:54

But also, #teamwendy 😂

BareBelliedSneetch · 21/10/2025 07:47

I assume andrew won’t get say with Wendy not finding out? Affairs never go uncovered in neighbours.

I think the V bar and the back lane bar are different places. The back lane bar is the really tiny, dingy one with writing on the walls. It’s where Sadie got spiked?

Ah no. I did too.

Yeah I agree the back lane bar (don’t Leo use to own it?) is a small shed local bar but the V bar is the “fancy” bar in Melbourne that Andrew and Holly were at. Although likely the same sets…

Oh Holly.

What a surprise.

BareBelliedSneetch · 22/10/2025 21:58

I’m worried about Wendy. They keep asking her if she should be doing things after her head injury - is she going to have after effects?!

paranoiaofpufflings · 22/10/2025 22:19

I thought the same today. The vow renewal is really being bigged up and her head injury was mentioned so specifically I thought straight away this is not going to end well for Wendy! If I was the scriptwriter, I’d have the vow renewal all ready to go, so beautiful and romantic, then somehow the affair and Holly’s pregnancy will be revealed at the event, the shock will cause a brain bleed and Wendy will die there in Andrew’s arms, her last moments full of his betrayal. I feel teary thinking of it.

Bloody hell! I watch neighbours for some good old Australian light relief. That's the stuff of romantic nightmares although I'd weirdly like to see it play out.

I fully suspect that the whole thing is going to come out at the vow renewal but if they go with your option, that would be AWESOME! I really like Wendy. In soap opera land, a good death is a great ending.

paranoiaofpufflings · 23/10/2025 20:50

We only have 28 episodes left 😭

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 23/10/2025 21:19

Nooo 🥲

Makeitstop2025 · 23/10/2025 23:16

The Linwell scene today was completely random, the world's least convincing gangsters. They didn't seem very menacing so I'm not sure what Cara is worrying about.

I am howling at how unlikely it would be that they've just been released from prison and they choose to have a catch up and coffee in a tiny suburban complex outside the police station where their nemesis works!

MiddleClassProblem · 24/10/2025 07:27

Honestly it’s all so pathetic. They didn’t even have a hotel room to stay in.

I wish they hadn’t made Holly pregnant. Andrew finding out and I wonder if he will then changed his mind/act erratic again pre vow renewal leading to him exploding on the day rather than Holly.

I hate that people always get pregnant. Any type of accident = unconscious. Sex = pregnancy. Won’t somebody use a contraception!?! I remember there being a big deal about a condom wrapper once in neighbours but I can’t remember who it was that was the only teen residents to practice safe sex.

i can’t wait for the fallout from Sadie especially now she’s supporting Holly. Is anyone going to do the maths re her being 8 weeks pregnant

Is it definitely Andrew's? I've no idea when they started their fling and when she finished with Max. Timing and Neighbours is always a bit loose.

I feel Prime are now trolling me, I have never received emails about Neighbours in the last 2 years, but in the last 3 weeks, don't forget to watch the next episode. Dangling a carrot knowing the end is nigh.

paranoiaofpufflings · 27/10/2025 22:51

Holly could easily just say Max is not the father, I met someone else, had a one night fling. But of course this is soapland, so someone will blab to Max, he will get strung along believing he is going to be a father, it’ll all come out at the vow renewal. Such a shame the show is ending (argh!) because a baby with a secret father would have been great on the street - reminds me of the very early days of Eastenders when Michelle had a baby with Dirty Den.

Workisntworking · 27/10/2025 22:56

Not that I'm over invested, but if she is 8 weeks pregnant on the basis of her last period, conception was 6 weeks ago. I scrolled back 6 weeks from the Dr appointment and looked at the episode. The catch up at the start was Holly and Andrew at the marina and her saying she'd lost an earring. In that episode she finished with Max - so it is the crossover point where she was possibly sleeping with both.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 27/10/2025 23:59

Ooo good detective skills!

EconomyClassRockstar · 28/10/2025 01:21

10/10!

They now have the entire rest of the show's thumbnails up on amazon. It made me a little sad!

paranoiaofpufflings · 28/10/2025 01:44

@Workisntworking Excellent detective work, I admire your commitment! So it could all come out, blow the Rodwell’s marriage apart, only for it to eventually be discovered that Max is the father after all.
If the show was continuing this would have come out a year or so later, when the baby became unwell and needed blood/bone marrow/an organ, and Andrew realised he wasn’t a match. We will never know how that plays out now.

That’s too sad!

I was tempted to ration myself but then I’d have to avoid the thread

I wonder how long the old eps will remain for.

Shoecamp · 28/10/2025 18:07

The fact that holly is only 8 weeks along and it could be max’s baby just shows how short this affair was. What middle aged man realistically leaves his wife for an 8 week fling?? I do feel for holly but I can’t get over her stupidness to believe it was going to work out for her

paranoiaofpufflings · 28/10/2025 19:40

Neighbours has lost the plot with the current storylines.
Nicolette suggests talking about how things will work, after the insemination, surely that’s a major conversation for before.
A teenager is sleeping rough, is randomly taken home by her school teacher, then randomly taken home by a former customer of her drug dealer mother. Neither of them are foster carers, both have random others in the house. Where are social services?! Are we supposed to care about Shannon and her daughter when neither have any connection to the street?
That girl is a worse actress than Nell, never thought that would be possible.
It’s frustrating me so much to have these nonsense storylines, just filling time until the end. Last time the show ended we got some good drama and loads of old cast. This time we are just fizzling out.

Karl yet again mentioned “things going on at the council”, he’s said it so many times lately. I’ve had a horror thought - is the council about to announce they are going to knock the street down and build over it?! Compulsory purchase for our Ramsay St friends. 😱
