I might be remembering wrong but she didn’t know he was with Tess at first and I think it’s different to your friend’s married dad. I might be miss remembering though! She’s reckless at times but not malicious. This feels a lot more manipulative.

She’s her mother’s daughter, which is a pity as at one point she seemed against how her mum behaved with men, but now she’s doing it herself.

This whole jewellery story is bizarre. Y10 drama. As if broken glass would be a good idea?

I don’t understand what happened today around the proposal memory. Remi remembered how she proposed to Cara. What was all the stuff around Dex doing a school project, and whether Remi remembered the actual proposal or the school project? Surely as she spoke the words from the proposal she remembers it, but also why would Dex be recreating it at school. All so odd and seemed to take up a lot of the episode!

Also, Nicolette is such a stirrer!

I’m glad Aaron finally pointed out the obvious. Andrew, Holly is your daughter’s best friend! I really liked the little montage to Aaron at the end of today’s episode. I love Aaron! He was a good background character iygwim.

Was the Aaron montage a preview of the next episode? It made me quite emotional seeing all the different scenes from over the years. I’m hoping we get a proper send off on Monday.

No doubt there will be a story spun for Wendy. But I’m fully expecting we soon discover that Holly is pregnant. Although I haven’t enjoyed the affair the fallout of it will be good drama.

I agree that the school project thing was daft. What teenage boy would recreate his parents proposal for a school project?!!
I do think a false memory can be made from things like this though. When I think about walking down the aisle on my wedding day, I remember seeing myself and my dad from behind rather than my view down the aisle. It’s because I’ve seen the wedding video and sadly, it’s pretty much taken away my actual memory of walking down the aisle and looking ahead

The only way I could find today's episode was to watch the end of last Thursday and allow it to autoplay next episode. Couldn't find it anywhere else 🤦‍♀️

I also noticed we have gone to episode 1 of 2025! Bizarre.
I found today’s episode really sad. The street party was lovely. Nice to see Toadie back and he didn’t feature much so he didn’t upstage Aaron.
But also I reflected that when Neighbours first stated I was so into the teenage dramas with Scott, Charlene, Jane, Mike, Paul, whereas the adults seemed so old and less relevant to me. Then today, the teenage drama was boring and irrelevant to me, and Jane and Paul are there as grandparents. Made me feel so old, nostalgic and sad as we are coming to a rapid ending.
Terese was missing and I don’t think Susan was there either? Maybe there was a crisis at Eirini Rising.

I think it’s because it came back on September so they name the season after the year it started of that makes sense and then it reset each September. I think because it’s streaming Amazon struggle without making it seasons.

I am kind of annoyed about Aaron’s exit. Neighbours has gone all out to be gay positive (which is a good thing, budgie smugglers aside) and then we are expected to believe a gay father would just dick off with a really new guy and leave his daughter, whose other father died, behind?!

He isn’t leaving her though, they arranged it would be shared custody. Aaron said he would be going between the two places, and Isla would also be in both places. There was a whole scene where they discussed it. Though I fully expect in the next few weeks Nicolette will decide to move to Adelaide too so they all live together again, probably Jane too. Seems like the way Neighbours is ending this time is everyone will leave.

Not happy with the re-cast Elle. I don't really recall the old one getting into as much strife as they seem to remember, certainly not by youthful Neighbours standards. This one doesn't look as if she'd get away with anything much.

I thought that was the original idea - that he would live between the two places, but then it was changed to him actually moving, without Isla, although he would visit. I don’t think all the leaving fanfare would have happened if he was living between the two places. I agree with pp that’s it’s a shitty thing to do. The new boyf is only leaving because his daughter is moving away and he can’t be without her, but Aaron can be without Isla most of the time. Not cool Aaron!

@Shoecamp All the fanfare was really more because the actor is leaving. He said a few times he would see them in a week I’m sure. Though we obviously won’t see him.

Not trying to be pedantic but I watched it back as I thought I’d remembered wrong. Aaron and nic had a conversation with Isla about how he would be living away but she would get to visit him often on a big plane and see her Brennan family at the same time. He then tells Paul he is moving to Adelaide with Rhett. No mention of him living across two places at all, so I do think Aaron is completely leaving. Shit parenting for a child who has lost a father already!

I hate a re-heading especially when we only have months to go. Why is Elle ginger!?! Sure, there’s dye but not when you need to identify a character. I can take Maddie being back but don’t like that it’s cleary a vehicle to cause tension between Nicolette and Cara. I’m just over Cara in general though.

Is this Monte bloke famous irl?

I thought tye Monty bloke looked like one of Pippa's old husbands on Home and Away, but I could be wrong. I haven't looked him up, but he did seem familiar.
