Wheeling my case into the Lassiters reception - hopefully for a longer than expected stay.

At least you know the room you’ll be staying in

Fgs did Paul really just do that?

TheodoraCrumpet · 26/05/2025 14:00

Why the fuck? And poor Amanda.

EconomyClassRockstar · 26/05/2025 18:04

Thanks for the new thread. Just finished reading the last one and slighted it ended with my favourite subject. The terrible wardrobe dept! 😂

I enjoyed today’s episode but I don’t believe for a second Paul would decide to pretend he’s Thomas’ dad. He’s way too ruthless for that.

EconomyClassRockstar · 26/05/2025 18:05

Delighted not slighted lol!

MiddleClassProblem · 26/05/2025 22:03

I thought he might and totally guessed it in the title. I think he’s had so many kids he’s not been a part of their childhood and this was a chance to do that. But it’s also batshit as he’s known him, what a month?

I hope it all unravels soon though. Not sure how they will keep it secret for long and Krista spotting.

Loving the evil Darcy drama though! And Holly again on the money.

Suggested spin off (previously suggested but now adding to it): John Wong and his PI in training Holly

Thinning haired, crumpled clothes Evil Darcy just needs a comedy evil laugh and he will be complete! I'm beginning to love how bad he is.

paranoiaofpufflings · 27/05/2025 18:46

Oh Paul 🤦🏻‍♀️ I knew this would happen. I get that he’s become attached to the baby but why on earth does he think it’s a good idea to run with this? Unless, of course, he wants to get together with Chelsea. Which fits in nicely with Darcy probably leaving the street soon and Terese moving back into her own house.

Today’s episode unexpectedly emotional. Flash appearance of Harold, and he said the magic phrase “perfect blend” 😭 Presume/hope we are getting a bit more of him this week!

And poor Amanda, poor Jane. I know a lot of people don’t like Jane but I love her. I’ve watched from the start when she was Plain Jane Superbrain, dumped by her mum (same actress!) to live with her gossipy but kindhearted gran. I think Annie Jones is a really good actress in that role, and it must be a difficult storyline for her as she gave up acting work for years to care for her own mother who had dementia.

paranoiaofpufflings · 27/05/2025 18:46

p.s. Thanks MCP for opening the new thread!

MiddleClassProblem · 27/05/2025 19:52

I don’t understand why Agnes is stalking Harold (other than for our nostalgia). She seems to have no one else in her life, not even pre existing friends.

If Andrew is another of Paul’s sons it will be hilarious although that inheritance is watering down by the week.

I am loving the Darcy plot. I’ve spent months tolerating his slimy self and I’m glad it’s paying off. So he’s using Tess as a cover? Why doesn’t CCTV show him PUTTING AMANDA IN THE CAR!?! Why have no residents mentioned this when they saw her get in the car? Why hasn’t the taxi driver mentioned this to the police either?

Is Amanda dead? Oofed of the cliff? It was great acting by Jane today but I still hate the character.

I assumed she is dead based on the ending, but HotRod didn’t actually say it, he just said “I’m sorry Jane”. If tomorrow that becomes “I’m sorry Jane we found her hankerchief in the taxi” then it’s a shitty was to break the news.

The entire Agnes storyline would have been much better if Madge had come back as a ghost instead of Agnes joining.

Andrew as Paul’s son, no way! Paul has too many children already including surprise extras. But I think we can expect Andrew will have some connection to a resident of previous years. I’m going to have a think who likely candidates could be.

Did no one at Irene heights notice be had gone AWOL. He does seem to come and go.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/05/2025 21:37

Yes we need ideas that are both plausible and implausible (like Paul being David and Leo’s dad).

OP posts:
paranoiaofpufflings · 28/05/2025 16:12

I thought we might have had a conversation with Harold today, but nothing. And Agnes is removed from the opening credits. Was that really it? A knock on the door and a pot of tea?

Andrew! Sigh… First he discloses what should be confidential information about a case to a neighbour, then he invites that neighbour to question the witness for him, on a park bench of all places. Then he goes to investigate a suspect, alone, with no back up. He deserved that spade whack! It might knock some sense into him.

TheodoraCrumpet · 28/05/2025 16:34

I had to check it wasn't Midsomer Murders I was watching today. I expect Andrew will be fine. It's hard to make an impact on a skull that thick.

It was extremely short wasn’t it.

No you aren't! He only checked himself in yesterday didn't he? Bit ridiculous Grin

MiddleClassProblem · 28/05/2025 20:56

So funny! Checked in checked out.

Andrew is an idiot. He knows a main suspects are from his class thanks to detective Holly who is now gathering evidence for the police. Goes to location and finds out it’s a person from his class’s house and has NO suspicions!

I am set on Sadie getting all Amanda’s money. Makes total sense.

I’m annoyed that Tate’s next time looks like he is escorting and not giving it up to be the local personal shopper. He did a good job! This must be the plot twist! Escort is too much for Neighbours long term and already been done with Byron.
