Poor Craig met his maker after Mick hurt him bad
He was a bit boring, but I can't help but feel sad
Mick's wife Lou left him, can't blame her quite frankly
He's abusive and repugnant inside and out, and quite manky

Mick wants to see Kit as he knows he slept with Lou
He's got Bernie now, but what is he going to to do?
Mick's nasty little son is out of the STC
Will he be as bad as Mick, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Debbie's quite ill, she's dumped Ronnie and he's very sad
Kevin's still battling cancer, and he's getting quite bad
Glenda's the new landady of the pub now, and Jenny and Daisy are gone
And Julie has died very suddenly, I hoped she'd go on and on.

(I'm sure there's some more things going on right now, but I've only just woken up after a rough night's sleep.) 😆

Yes where are they

Theo never seems to go to work

Oh he does sometimes rock up with his hi-viz ! Where’s George at mo is he still living there? Eyelash would have sorted sulky Milly out !

zanahoria · 01/07/2025 23:00

Eileen would have seen though Millie straight away.

Although I did like the way that Todd managed to start bullshitting Millie about how she would have needed to check with her doctor before flying, really not true if she's only a couple of months pregnant

SabreIsMyFave · 01/07/2025 23:00

zanahoria · 01/07/2025 21:38

He caught her drinking. Plus he knew that she has, like her father, form for for lying.

Obviously, Theo is a complete idiot but not sure how Millie fooled her mum.

Edited

Ah ha, thank you. Smile

Unbelievable that the ever-efficient Weatherfield Police haven't made an appeal to identify the unknown male in a coma in hospital.

Also unbelievable - the doctor said "there is blood re-collecting in the brain. We have to open him up again " Yet no sign of any bandages or dressing from the first surgery. He must have been operated on by the same miracle-worker surgeon that operated in Carla's recent brain surgery.

Kevin - you absolute POS. That's a stinking thing to do to your family, especially Jack. No matter how much you sanitise what you tell him.

DeeDee - she's going to cause ructions in the family! A secret mid-week Christening. I assume it will be secret as she's not telling James she's organising it and he won't therefore be attending. I wonder who she's intending to have for godparents. (That's just going along with the storyline, and not going anywhere near the ridiculousness of James just becoming Laila's father in DeeDee's say-so)

zanahoria · 02/07/2025 21:46

The Carl and Abi stuff is mindnumbingly tedious now and makes no sense whatsoever. There is no chemistry there, no romance, they just have stupid conversations

why would Todd move out of his own mum's house and leave her ex boyfriend there?

Empress13 · 02/07/2025 21:47

Does anyone else think the tel call Lou took was the hospital notifying her as next of kin and she has something to do with Gary being beat up

MmeChoufleur · 02/07/2025 22:14

The first time Abi and Carl met, he was having car trouble and Abi had to fix it.

Now he’s a mechanic? Why couldn’t he fix his own car?

WiddlinDiddlin · 02/07/2025 22:18

NCTDN · 01/07/2025 21:54

Totally irrelevant to the pointless storylines atm but did anyone else notice that the car Abi was fixing the engine on was electric? She couldn’t do what she said she was doing!

I did, yep.

Similarly the van of Micks that Chez put sugar in the tank... is not petrol, it is diesel (they do not do a petrol model of that particular van) and a tank clean out and fix would cost a few hundred quid, not the five grand the storyline said!

It’s unbelievable that Weatherfield Hospital have only just decided to contact his next of kin when he’s been in intensive care for a week!

Housewife2010 · 02/07/2025 22:31

You should all be employed as fact checkers for Coronation Street! You've pointed out all the numerous ridiculous plot holes in all the current stories!

HurdyGurdy19 · 03/07/2025 07:22

So Weathy General has only just decided to contact Gary's NOK (assuming that was the call that Lou took when she was in the cafe) after he's been unconscious in there, following brain surgery, which means they know who he is, and for some reason just didn't bother letting anyone know sooner.

Or, after all this time, they've only just found his phone amongst his belongings and have gone through it, to find someone to contact. In which case, why Lou and not Maria?

And if that is how the hospital knew who to contact, then who has been sending the texts to Maria?

stampin · 03/07/2025 08:04

The doctor in Gary's hospital scene was rather unconvincing.

That's me being kind.

strugglingwithlife · 03/07/2025 08:07

Rubbish isn't it! I had the same thoughts as all of you. Who is writing this crap!

Terrible actress !

zanahoria · 03/07/2025 09:53

There is only one doctor worth talking about and her name is Susan Gaddas.

We were lucky that she choose to grace us with her presence last night.

Most of it is not so much fact checking but pointing out the bleeding obvious

zanahoria · 03/07/2025 10:00

Some of the plans that are being concocted are so ridiculous that they make Max's idea to burn his own house down using petrol stolen from the garage look like a pretty smart idea.

DeeDee is planning a christening hoping that her brother will not get wind of it and instead of going to her own church she is asking BIlly to do it.

Kev is lying to his wife that he still has cancer, so presumably going to mock the effects of chemo.

MonickerMonica · 03/07/2025 10:00

So thanks to Dr Gads collecting her take out yeah right we know Kev has lied about his results to Abbs. Good though that he's on the mend.

🙄

PetaltotheMedal · 03/07/2025 11:35

Theo never seems to go to work

He doesn't really have much to do, the scaffolding stays at the previous job, no matter how long ago that job finished, until they need to put it up for the next job. It's ideal, no need to pay for a yard to store the scaffolding in (although there is potential for a bit part for the yard that gets bought, sold and handed from piller to post every time a storyline is needed). It doesn't matter that everyone who uses the scaffolder's services are as annoyed by him as we, the viewers, are.

To make the Todd being controlled storyline realistic (I know ... it's Corrie ... we can but hope) Todd needs to not realise the manipulation, he needs to show confusion. Billy and Sarah need to be worried on the sidelines but at risk of alienating Todd if they tell him what we can all see.

And a big dramatic Theo getting what's coming to him ending will be unrealistic too, writers, if you are listening, he needs to slope off to his next victim, before his relationship with Todd is over, like so many of them do.

Yep, some weird storylines in there/slightly unbelievable.

Good storyline coming up by the sound of it though. Kev is pretending he has still got cancer when he has had it confirmed that he's in the clear.

I hate Carl and Abi 'together' too. As you say, zero chemistry, and her is just soooo unnattractive. Sorry 😂 As a pp said, he looks like a Chuckle Brother.

HurdyGurdy19 · 03/07/2025 14:36

I also hate the shoving together of Carl and Abi. Agree about zero chemistry, but I suppose they're going to find out about Kevin lying about his "more aggressive" cancer treatment, which will unite them in anger against him.

Just lazy, sloppy writing. Why are they so obsessed with affairs? A strong friendship between Abi and Carl, supporting each other through Kevin's deception would work just as well, and show that it is possible for men and women to be friends, and not feel the urge to jump into bed together.

eggandonion · 03/07/2025 15:11

Theo and Cari should be home an item and head off into the sunset

FlibbertyGibbitt · 03/07/2025 15:25

Where did Theo get his hair from ?

if they had to go down route then make it more subtle, not this twaddle about them meeting in a car park, having a row then feeling an instant attraction so powerful it would potentially destroy their family.

I never understand why when they have so much time to fill in six episodes a week that they feel the need to press the accelerator on plots.

They could have had them bonding slowly during Kev's illness, may have made it more believable
