I hated John’s graffiti and that pale yellow/beige colour but his bar was good. Agreed on the chandelier being too high. I cannot understand how he has got to the final but Craig did not do well last night. There’s a bar in West Hampstead called Bobby Fitzpatrick that has that style that Craig was going for (photo attached). It’s been there ages. I am also a Rothko fan and went to the big exhibition at the Tate Modern a few years ago, there’s definitely nothing better than seeing the real thing, I think particularly with Rothko as they can look simple

Traumatically I may not be able to watch live. I shall have to avoid the thread until I’ve watched it. I’m vaguely assuming Rita will win now but who knows after Craig’s crash last week?

John winning would be very bizarre for 3 reasons

  1. he’s been pretty rubbish and only saved himself by being half rubbish last week
  2. I’m not sure the prize would suit him at all (xref the weird words in the performing space)
  3. the pretentious outfit he has on for the prize ceremony

I’m not fake tanning tonight but actual tanning with a 2hr time difference so probably won’t be watching live…that said, this is the first time in a long time where I don’t care who wins- my gut says it will be John tho.

It's not the wanky hat again is it? I don't think he dresses badly really. I mean he is nowhere near as bad Ben from last year with his Victorian rent boy outfits, but he didn't look comfortable in it.

I have a feeling he might win, but if Iam being honest I'm not too fussed either way. I've preferred John's ideasto Rita's but he can't manage his time, so didn't get any impact. I'm not really rooting for anyone/or really against anyone, which is a first.

I won't be joining the discussion online much as I'm watching it with my daughter. She is autistic and spends almost all her time alone in her room so this is the only thing she does with me!

I will be hugely disappointed if Rita doesn't win but there's part of me that thinks could it be John's journey all along or will Rita's week six "errrors" mean she had enough of a hiccup to have a journey.
