Alison's life takes an unexpected turn when her lip-reading skills catch the attention of DS Ashleigh Francis (Ritchie) and DI James Marsh (Andrew Buchan), who recruit her for a covert operation in which she must surveil a dangerous gang who are plotting a high-stakes heist.
She’s struggling to make ends meet, juggling two jobs, in a police canteen and a local bar, while also doing her best to support her Deaf mum, Julie.
