This always happens with apparently stable couples at this stage. Usually when one has applied to be on mafs not to actually find a relationship. I feel like after Billy left Dave sort of checked out as he doesn't really have any other friends in there.

From early one, I thought Dave & Jeff were the only decent guys in it.

And now they are are kind of crap too.

I have know lost interest, don't like anyone.
Normally there would be a couple or two you would hope worked out.

And while Small Limp Dave was telling the other Grooms his version Verruca was standing just in front of him with a couple of other brides, listening in.

The thought that Dave might fancy V will mess with Jamie's head. They are finished. Dave will rock up to the reunion with a smirking V on his arm.

I asked mine if he cared that his “transition” would likely lead to our daughter being bullied and he shrugged.

What the hell is Carina's 'apology' ? I'd have told her to stick it 😆

Fair play to Awhina for accepting Carina's apology but it felt like there was more to that exchange than we were shown. I thought Awhina was asking Paul to leave because she didn't want C to have any back up - she just wanted it to be one on one. But then when she so graciously accepted C's apology it made me wonder whether Awhina had been wise to his shit stirring.

I hear ya, this episode brought back similar for me too.

Hasn't Jacqui been being very snide and unpleasant generally? I don't think it makes Jeff look fabulous but considering the trouble she has caused to Jeff and Rhi personally and her argument with at TJ and Beth's wedding, I think Jacqui is thoroughly not very nice. But I do love her pale green dress!

Jamie - some self respect, please. It’s been 8 weeks, not 8 years. Tell him to shove it up his arse, go home, order a pizza, drink a bottle of wine and cry in the bath. Tomorrow is a new day.

Jamie is reacting normally. Nothing to do with not having self respect.

It’s shocked her and she is allowed to cry, feel shitty etc. How you feel is how you feel, it is what it is. There is no rule in life, love, emotions, etc that says you can’t or shouldn’t fall for someone after a few weeks or it must be or should only be once xxx time has passed.

Being in that environment is intense, they are with each other day in day out (unless you are Tony who buggered off on weekends 🤣) so for some, like Jamie I guess it means their feelings for the other person gets fast tracked and for others it gets overwhelming so takes much longer.

I’m not ashamed to say in my younger days I have met a guy or two thinking “he was the one” after a couple months, falling head over heels, wearing my heart on my sleeve only to find out he was in a totally different headspace but he chose to keep it quiet until I had to drag it out of him and I was feeling and reacting very much like Jamie. Now assuming Jamie is not doing a Verruca and is a plant/actress, Jamie ( and all the other’s including the experts ) did not see any of this coming, not even a hint from Dave.

Extremes bother me no end I hate when people are nice as pie one day and everything is seemingly going well and then out of nowhere they are “off” or acting weird, and this is what he did to her. Now, at my lovely peri-menopausal age if you start showing those behaviours I will cut you off without even having a conversation about it, be it a dating partner or a friend, I don’t care what their reason is behind it, it gives ME head fuck which I can’t allow anyone to do to me and I simply don’t have the patience for all that nonsense. I have become much more hardened with age but in my 20s and even 30s, I’d have been sobbing and feeling just like Jamie.

Awhina on the other hand is definitely the one that has absolutely no self respect. I like her but Adrian and his family have treated her appallingly and she still decided to stay?!?!?Even if she’s been promised some deal if she stays with the mumbler there is no way I could do it, I can’t be treated in that way and even worse that it’s on TV all for the sake of money or fame. She should have told Adrian and the production team to all go screw themselves the day he decided to kick off about the promo and not be on the phone begging him to return… nah you can’t embarrass me on TV like that and think I’m going to stick around, let alone try to convince you to return.

@hoxtonbabe completely agree with everything you've said. I really felt for Jamie last night. He was so cold and unfeeling towards her.

Also agree about Awhina. Although worryingly, Adrian has talked a lot of sense in his analysis of other relationships. But that doesn't stop him from being a knob in his own.

But you’ve got to understand those 8 weeks aren’t just seeing someone a few times a week they have made a (kind of) commitment to one another lived together 24/7 and planned their future it’s totally different so yes I totally understand how let down and upset Jamie feels. It’s like he’s gone from 1000 to zero in a couple of days and coincidentally after moving in with the Actress. I’m convinced they got down to it when he slept with her. Can’t wait for the ixperts opinions next week🙈

Awhina isn't a fighter, making her a bit of a wet blanket, her nature is very forgiving, first Adrain and then Corina.

She needs a man who will treat her kindly, it would be returned tenfold from her.

I agree with those saying 8 weeks in MAFS is very different to 8 weeks irl relationship wise. It's designed to mess with normal patterns of building trust which is why it's such a dangerous concept for vulnerable people. And lots of the participants are clearly vulnerable or lacking in self confidence at the very least.
They're told to trust the ixperts and stop doing what they've done before. So the most vulnerable are left with no safety mechanisms.

And Dave has had a drastic and extreme change in behaviour which is massively disconcerting for Jamie. His sudden coldness and lack of compassion was a shock to the other participants, so it must have blindsided Jamie. I'm not in the least bit surprised she was so emotional.

I just hope she doesn't hang on to any false hope this is a blip and it can get back on track.

Having watched to the end, I don't think Dave shagged Verruca or was hiding a psychopathic streak. I think he was massively overwhelmed and didn't know what to say or do in the face of everyone wanting answers NOW. I expect he has had a proper think and isn't as keen as he had hoped and had presented it shittily. A good part of this, I expect is Jamie's drama mongering, especially with Carina and Rhi. I just don't think he's the type who wants to be involved in that, especially when she flipped to a soaring aria of contrition on the couch which somewhat left him hanging. Just who she is, and just who he is. Hopefully with a bit more time he can open up and discuss it more kindly. Funny she didn't consider that it might be connected with her behaviour. He perhaps didn't want to go into Lauren gate again if it was that, and if he doesn't fancy Jamie then that in front of everyone.

Good that Awhina and Carina sorted things with minimal crap.
