Great title @browneyes77 - going for the poetry Pulitzer there too with the rhyming couplets!

For some reason I always have the tune of “My Favourite Things” from the sound of music when I start rhyming 😂

I have no idea why 🤣

Well now I do when I read them!

Edited to add: which actually makes them even better! It should be compulsory to sing all MAFS titles to the tune of My Favourite Things.

Controversial opinion maybe.... but I've gone off Alessandra.
Normally, I'd say she doesn't put a foot wrong but I think she was unnecessarily harsh with Jamie. She could have been much more constructive with her criticism. She treated Jamie with the same level of disdain she showed to Door punching Paul, and their crimes are hardly comparable.
Carina was treated like some amazing heroine when really she needs a few home truths to help her wise up about accepting shit behaviour from shit men. All the ixperts fawning over them as controlling Paul sits there mawling and pecking Carina on the couch. Made me feel sick ...all his violence swept under the carpet, as if it never happened, and a sham of a terminal relationship celebrated as something to aspire to.

Delatron · 15/04/2025 15:55

Yeah I find Carina’s simpering really pathetic (and putting up with Paul’s punching walls).

No I do not like anything about Lauren (for the poster that was asking) - she’s a nasty piece of work with her constant name calling and looking down her nose at people. Also lying and changing the narrative (along with Carina).

She’s on a show about relationships , just because it suits her to not discuss her relationship doesn’t mean she gets to be nasty to others. She’s on the wrong show if she wants to be by herself and not get asked about anything.

If someone called me a chav and a troll I would not have been as restrained as Jamie was. The worse thing Jamie said to Lauren after all the name calling was that she was rude. Which she was. Saying they all bored her.

I’m repeating myself but I don’t get how anyone could like Lauren. I’m so pleased the ixperts called her out on all of it.

Agree 100%. Especially the Carina comments.

Also suggesting Ryan pleasures Jacqui when he wasn’t in the mood!!

GraveAndQuiet · 15/04/2025 16:07

Ha ha yeah- and I don't think Ryan had a clue what she was on about 🤣

MyKingdomForACat · 15/04/2025 16:15

Just caught up with last night’s episode. After all the drama Lauren caused and Jamie’s reaction to the fall out at the dinner party, I think Dave is disengaging with Jamie.

He looked so confused - she had to spell it out about three times…!

Delatron · 15/04/2025 16:19

I honestly think it’s the L word that is putting Dave off rather than any drama. He was getting involved in the drama (first to have a go at Lauren and Clint) and has been supportive of her. Though her going on about it may be doing his head in…

He’s the worst for stirring the pot and sticking his beak in with his little pearls of wisdom. A very annoying smug man. It may be possible the only good man in this whole experiment is Geoff. And actually Billy.

WhisperGold · 15/04/2025 14:09

On the E4 version he said
"I don't think you can do this properly...you can do this properly and not fall in love."
So kinda dubious but I think option 1.

It was ambiguous, wasn't it? He's clearly hedging his bets.

Seriestwo · 15/04/2025 16:26

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions” is not a Spanish saying, it’s very old, and originally French, I think - Alessandra was wrong about that.

That’s what I mean. He’s been listening to her going over and over it for days

And really isn’t in a position to say “Oh STFU” because I’m pretty sure Jamie would peck his eyes out.

Delatron · 15/04/2025 17:02

Yeah I’m sure her going on and on about everything has put him off. I am fearful for them. Though you would think she would notice and say ‘you ok Dave?’ Or the ixperts would say something. I know it’s edited but I don’t think we had a word from him yesterday.

He was also staring out the window as she was banging on about it on the way to the dinner party. Then again he loves the drama, more than any of the others, so who knows.

Ryan was probably thinking 'pleasure her? Oh, you must mean talk to her about data centres!'

dapsnotplimsolls · 15/04/2025 18:49

Just caught up on the last section - I think some of us have been waiting for Dave to turn into an arse, unfortunately. I'm wondering if he was annoyed at so little attention being on him last night - he was jumping up at the start when the snobbers appeared. Is he just here for the attention?

dapsnotplimsolls · 15/04/2025 18:51

Thank you for the new thread, great title! Early request - can we have 'fingering an angry shark' in the next one? 😁

Stichintime · 15/04/2025 18:56

I hate this idea you should 'have partners or friends back' even if they're wrong. A good partner or friend should tell you if you're being out of order, not blindly agree with everything you do or say.

But why would they have Lauren’s back over Jamie’s? Lauren was calling them all names. Then walked off bored with them all. Jamie was upset they chose to go to her. At that point Jamie hadn’t done anything wrong
she hadn’t been out of order.

That was why she was upset. She didn’t understand why, after Lauren was awful to all of them - they chose to go to her.

Agreed. And Lauren wasn’t upset 🤷🏼‍♀️

Outofthepan · 15/04/2025 19:06

Think Dave would prefer a quiet life tbh. Just a nice time with a nice woman

ColdTofuSandwich · 15/04/2025 19:13

Off topic but what is with Ryan’s shoulders?!!! Is it an optical illusion because of his neck?

Also while no one should ever punch anything in anger, nothing was said anoit Carina talking about shagging famous people in front of your boyfriend and mates! Thats never going to lead to a happy relationship surely.
