Todd has got a new beau, and he looks like a Ken doll
And it turns out he's got a wife too
Things never go smoothly for Todd do they really?
What on earth is he going to do?

Julie's still suffering with cancer it seems,
and Kev is still ill with it - how sad
Now Debbie's very likely got dementia
Which is really very bad.

New guy Mick and his missus are loathsome
I hope they leave really soon
I want to just grab them and drop kick them hard
So they end up on the dark side of the moon

DeeDee has had Joels baby, but doesn't want her
And her brother's stepped up to be her dad
But I think she's wavering and getting a bit attached
If she gives her baby up she may be sad.

DeeDee's about to take action for the poor treatment she had
When she was in labour and about to give birth
I hope she gets justice and gets treated right
And gets compensated for what she is worth

Dorin is back, he's incredibly cute
And I have to say DeeDee's baby is too (edit by request)
I hope they don't turn into little shits
Like the children in Corrie tend to do!

Daisy and Jenny have proper fallen out
Over the pub and money and debts
I wonder who'll end up owning it and running it
I think we should take some bets!

I think that's most of what's going on! (Sorry if I've left owt out!)

I had forgotten that every character who arrives in Corrie however innocent-seeming, cannot actually be a nice regular guy. They are a plot point and will be a fraudster, shag their brother's wife or kill someone with stapler.

Or all three 😁

Not sure

I think he was introduced as some sort of hospital admin but has now been revealed to be .... Zoe's brother.

The bit about Zoe meeting up for a chat was almost as absurd as the enquiry that took two minutes. Why would she go when could only incriminate herself? DeeDee is lawyer.

I know they are trying to push the unconscious bias angle but that requites subtlety. The line about checking to see if the patient had gone pale sounded like a bad line from a seventies sit com

Absolutely ridiculous

so Lou has 2 invisible daughters

hating the prison thing and Dylan story and Mick’s inpunity plus Lou at Audrey’s

why would Maria be not in PPE as hairdressing is messy

where is David et Al at the flat when Todd is liaising with Theo

eggandonion · 19/04/2025 13:54

David is in big brother, Chesney is on ice....
My hairdressers is full of ladies wearing black outfits. I assume Maria was in pink chiffon prior to a council lunch 🙂or for a lunch date with Gareh.

Sarah was doing a lot of come hither looks.
Body is horrible and needs to fall down stairs . So does Carl.

Whose body is horrible?

TulipTuesday · 14/04/2025 22:22

I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was different either, but think maybe cheek fillers. Although her eyes looked different too.

She’s such a beautiful woman, it’s a shame she felt the need to fiddle with her face. (Her choice though of course)

That's just speculation though.

MonickerMonica · 19/04/2025 15:04

Yes I wondered about Lou's invisible daughters too. Maybe I had missed a bit somewhere but I don't think so. 🫤

MichaelandKirk · 19/04/2025 15:05

I find Sarah to be a real tart. Who hasn’t she slept with?

eggandonion · 19/04/2025 15:06

Brody is horrible I think. He deserves a nasty end. My phone also corrects him to Body. Hopefully predictive text is predicting a short stay for him and his family.

TizerorFizz · 19/04/2025 15:11

@eggandonion No more teenage deaths I hope! Pretty grim tv!

Also a hospital investigation in a few days? Completely divorced from reality! It’s actually laughable.

Yes why even bother as she didn’t worry when she was working in the hairdressers or when the couple were first introduced

MaePedwarGolau · 19/04/2025 15:44

I feel like I've missed an episode. Audrey agreed to give Lou a trial and the next thing I saw was she'd managed to injure a client, throw hair dye over Maria and Audrey's saying it doesn't matter because she's brought in new business and the customers love her?

eggandonion · 19/04/2025 15:45

@TizerorFizz I don't care about Brody or his nasty dad. I don't need any more baddies.
Sarah was wearing a new top last night. Does she ever go to work?

Shellingbynight · 19/04/2025 17:08

Just when you think Corrie can’t get any worse, we have a 3 day NHS investigation, they wouldn’t even have started it, never mind finished it, and Deedee persuading the nurse to meet her in a bar to interrogate her. No nurse would agree to that, and Deedee is a lawyer and should know how to behave professionally. They have done a real disservice to this storyline.

They never show any action on screen now, so we don’t see Sean beaten up, or even glimpse the client Lou messed with. Not that I care about any of that.

And Theo and Todd and the wife …. Zzzzz. They are playing it for laughs but it isn’t funny and they are ruining Todd.

zanahoria · 19/04/2025 22:28

Who even conducted the investigation?

Wes?

Asha?

The evil surgeon who operated on Peter?

TheFifthTellytubby · 19/04/2025 23:18

The Brody/Mick/Dylan/Sean situation is going to be resolved very quickly as soon as Kit learns that Sean has retracted his statement and works out that his sister Gemma is being "leaned on" to provide Mick with an alibi...🙄

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 20/04/2025 02:07

How many prescriptions does one person need!

CherryogDog · 20/04/2025 03:09

Poor Sean.
I stopped watching Corrie way back when Michelle was caught up in the gangster stuff, I couldn't bear her screeching.
Got sucked back in by the Geoff and Yasmin storyline.
Now I just fast forward through most of it.
Maybe the writers should run a nationwide poll to see if anyone wants to watch this type of stuff.

Shellingbynight · 15/04/2025 09:49

I find Antony Cotton is very limited. In Classic he's fine, very likeable as the amusing friend and barman. But that is all he can do, and I'm not sure he can even do that nowadays without caricaturing it. And it is a shame they are ruining Dylan with a crime storyline, he was a good character.

Re the Websters, I thought when Kevin was in the house he did a great job of looking really unwell, I like the fact they are addressing the effects of chemo. I noticed they made a point of saying how little Debbie and Kev know about Carl.

He really irritates me as he (AC not Sean) is not a nice person so every time I see Sean I grit my teeth. 😬

hhtddbkoygv · 20/04/2025 07:15

zanahoria · 15/04/2025 10:01

Dorin's popularity, on and off screen, makes me worried about the fate of Alina. Surely, by all rules of soap, she is a dead woman walking?

Shame. My plan was that she would move back to Weatherfield with her mum and her auntie who would be played by the cheeky Girls.

Edited

😁

Tomorrow night by 8.03 pm would suit me fine! Great call though.

Shellingbynight · 20/04/2025 08:59

Yeh I don't fancy Mick's chances against Kit.

It's interesting they have kept Kit away from anything more than one / two night stands. He's very keen then rapidly backs away - I mean he was right about Sarah and Todd being ridiculous, but it didn't take much to put him off. I originally thought he'd be here longish term but I'm not so sure now, they've done nothing to establish or develop him. He's not a bad actor and could have been a good addition if they had the faintest clue what to do with him.

How many prescriptions does one person need!

Anything like my 'oldies', I can believe the daily trips to the pharmacy! Grin

AmusedMaker · 21/04/2025 07:57

Sarah & Todd getting back together would be an interesting storyline I think.
The whole Todd, Theo, thing is a bit weird. Would Todd really want to be nothing more than ‘a bit on the side?’ to a married man with kids? The wife is clearly going to find out.
Sean / Dylon storyline so boring, Sean really can’t act and is extremely unconvincing as the scared/ worried Dad. At least Dylon can act.

I’m still not convinced Julie is really dying.
Kevin is very believable and actually looks ill.

The only fun bit now is Cassie & Steve.

Clawdy · 21/04/2025 08:17

Why didn't Gemma tell Lou that Mick had just threatened her and the quads? And why didn't she say to Mick "You do know my brother's a policeman?"
