Todd has got a new beau, and he looks like a Ken doll
And it turns out he's got a wife too
Things never go smoothly for Todd do they really?
What on earth is he going to do?

Julie's still suffering with cancer it seems,
and Kev is still ill with it - how sad
Now Debbie's very likely got dementia
Which is really very bad.

New guy Mick and his missus are loathsome
I hope they leave really soon
I want to just grab them and drop kick them hard
So they end up on the dark side of the moon

DeeDee has had Joels baby, but doesn't want her
And her brother's stepped up to be her dad
But I think she's wavering and getting a bit attached
If she gives her baby up she may be sad.

DeeDee's about to take action for the poor treatment she had
When she was in labour and about to give birth
I hope she gets justice and gets treated right
And gets compensated for what she is worth

Dorin is back, he's incredibly cute
And I have to say DeeDee's baby is too (edit by request)
I hope they don't turn into little shits
Like the children in Corrie tend to do!

Daisy and Jenny have proper fallen out
Over the pub and money and debts
I wonder who'll end up owning it and running it
I think we should take some bets!

I think that's most of what's going on! (Sorry if I've left owt out!)

The reason Beth had to leave the street was because of Kit in the first place when she discovered his dodgy dealings, so for her son to be killed in the line of duty whilst working under Kit who effectively destroyed her relationship with Craig would surely bring her back to avenge her sons death! But no doubt she won’t even get a mention…..

zanahoria · 22/05/2025 07:15

I will not miss Craig but I do miss a a Corrie where crimes were not committed every week.

It is the second murder this year.

Mick has only been on the show for a few months and on top of killing Craig he hah already beaten up Sean, Gary and Lou, plus an unidentified person in the Dog and Gun.

eggandonion · 22/05/2025 00:05

I hope Craig has a funeral unlike poor Robert. I'd have preferred him to have a new policing opportunity in a different force.

Yes, I thought he'd transfer to a force near his mum, but now they've got to bring Beth back surely?

Deadringer · 22/05/2025 10:11

I was puzzled that they ended up back at the precinct too, poor Craigy. I agree with everyone else it will be absolutely shocking if Beth doesn't appear in some form, Craig was her only child and she was very protective of him. It's sad really that apart from dopey Kirk Craig didn't have any real friends left on the street, none that I can think of anyway. I thought Lou's elder dd looked very like her and the younger one looked like Mick, so believable as a family. I knew Tim would take them home, even if it's only so we can once again hear Sally say that she has to get the girls' tea on, but I thought he was a bit previous, Lou was only outside for a few minutes! It was weird to see the two of them fast asleep on Sally's sofa, it was early in the day, the quads hadn't even been collected from school yet!

And odd that no one was around only Maria !

Oh that's a shame that she (the actress) was written out - because that would have made a good storyline!

I laughed when Jess heard the name Louise and asked if she was Louise Michaelis. Sometimes policing is very easy in Weatherfield.

Has she been drafted back to replace Craig as the thin blue line holding back the Weatherfield crime wave?

SabreIsMyFave · 22/05/2025 10:29

I agree with you (and others) @Deadringer the placing of Craig when Mick attacked him was odd. I thought he was quite far away from the street too, and then when he keeled over, he was near the precinct...? It was also a bit odd how Mick and Lou's daughters were suddenly at Sally and Tim's.

Yeah, that was odd wasn't it?! Not like Louise is a really unusual name! 😆

It would be crazy not to, As has been said, Craig was her only son, it would be a ridiculous plotline for her to not come and attend his funeral. If they come up with some bullshit like 'she's working overseas' or 'she's looking after a sick relative' like they often do, I'm gonna be FEWMIN! 😂

Seriously, that will be annoying. They absolutely have to get Beth back - actress Lisa George. Even for just a couple of episodes. They can't possibly not have her there. I bet they come out with some cock and bull story that she's 'very ill' at the moment, she will probably have pnemonia or something!)

Was Craig's demise part of the cull or did he want to leave? Either way it might be interesting to see what the actor does next. Hopefully he isn't a one trick pony. 🫤

WorriedOnion · 22/05/2025 10:38

It was also a bit odd how Mick and Lou's daughters were suddenly at Sally and Tim's.

It was obviously set up to be very convenient to link to the fostering storyline but in any other world two girls being left alone with a man Lou may or may not have met before and then for him to take them home - fuck's sake 🙄

MonickerMonica · 22/05/2025 10:40

@WorriedOnion

As I said earlier! The writers are off their noggins 🙄

I don't think he wanted to leave. (Colson Smith.) He was written out. Happy to be told I'm wrong, but I remember reading he was one who was going to be 'axed.' Whereas Gail (Helen Worth) left of her own accord.

It's possible that some actors leave before they're pushed. There are others however who seem determined to stay until they're physically unable to stand up and I'm thinking Audrey, Rita and Ken. They're hardly ever on screen. Perhaps the producers are scared to write them out. 🤔

strugglingwithlife · 22/05/2025 10:51

I knew Craig would die as read months ago he was being killed off. Poor Craig 😔
I also thought it was somewhere derelict he was attacked and then all of a sudden he's at the precinct.
I hope they catch Mick! Vile

I think that about them too. Ken has been in it about 175 years! I know it's only been going for 65 years (nearly) but it feels like 175! 😂

I didn't know he was going to die (as I fortunately missed the spoiler,) so it came as a bit of a shock to be honest! Shock

Just watched Craigy on TV and no, he didn't want to go. He doesn't appear to have anything lined up, but was putting a brave face on it.

That's a shame. I wonder how he will fare now? Many ex Corrie actors don't go on to do a lot after they leave - although some do... I have a feeling Craigy/Colson will struggle to get more work. (I hope he does get more work, obviously.)Smile

HurdyGurdy19 · 22/05/2025 11:26

I've seen a few TikTok videos by the actor that played Joel, saying its been really hard, and he's not found any other work.

I've not seen him for a couple of weeks now, so maybe he's got something else by now.

He would have been a bigger mug than Craig to give it up.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 22/05/2025 14:06

The women seem to do better post Corrie don’t they? Not all of them but a few are big stars (Karen, Tina, Raquel, Katherine) and people like Shelley have had lots of work since. Whereas Liam Connor is the only bloke I can think of that was successful(ish) after
