Now Debbie's very likely got dementia
Which is really very bad.

New guy Mick and his missus are loathsome
I hope they leave really soon
I want to just grab them and drop kick them hard
So they end up on the dark side of the moon

DeeDee has had Joels baby, but doesn't want her
And her brother's stepped up to be her dad
But I think she's wavering and getting a bit attached
If she gives her baby up she may be sad.

DeeDee's about to take action for the poor treatment she had
When she was in labour and about to give birth
I hope she gets justice and gets treated right
And gets compensated for what she is worth

Dorin is back, he's incredibly cute
And I have to say DeeDee's baby is too (edit by request)
I hope they don't turn into little shits
Like the children in Corrie tend to do!

Daisy and Jenny have proper fallen out
Over the pub and money and debts
I wonder who'll end up owning it and running it

Like DeeDee I nearly lost my life in childbirth 56 years ago.I Felt totally wrung out for ages afterwards.
But, this is a soap, just an opportunity for a dramatic story to keep the viewers interested.Circumstances very quickly forgotten about.They have handled this badly again.

The script writers are certainly in their own world.

We will see Laila for a few more weeks, then assuming she stays on cobbles, will join invisible Glory in Bailey broom cupboard. I suppose Ed could look after her now he's sold builder's yard. Is he retiring? Also, will Ronnie still buy number 6?

Yes Laila will be on screen until Deedee takes her back and then we won't see her again until she's going to school (unless she's ill of course and needs another trip to hospital).

I noticed on Friday Deedee was looking very fit and trim, and wearing a wide belt which cinched in her waist. I would have thought that was the last thing you'd be wearing so soon after major surgery.

I'm expecting a few new house interiors to appear in the coming weeks.

Far more interesting than the daft story lines. Dark blue's my guess.

I really dislike Julie dying and Debbie being ill.

It was so obvious Julie would die in tonight's episode as soon as it started and she was recording that video.
It I knew she would be gone when Eileen got back with the teas. So sad. Julie was one of the best characters, I really wish they hadn't brought her back just to kill her off.
Deedee should have spoken up if she has changed her mind about the baby.

That was a very sad episode.
But seeing as no-one seems to have registered Laila's birth, how is James taking her to the US? I assume that's where he was going.

Also, wouldnt there have been police there as well when Eileen called the ambulance? Seems unlikely that there were no passes by trying to gawp at the body.

What a horrible hour tonight. It was rather obvious that Julie would slip away when she did. So many errors though. A sudden death like that would mean a police presence as pp said. I suppose we're all just expected to assume all protocols are followed. As for the DeeDee baby situation it was so ridiculous. The brother turns up again without warning and five minutes later he's off in a taxi with a tiny baby he has no rights over.

The soap is getting worse every week.

And another thing 🙄😄 whiney Theo was invited to go and stay with Todd but now poor Julie has died I think that will thwart (I love that word) his moving in to Eileen's house. Will Billy offer Theo a bed? 😋

@HaddyAbrams thats what I was thinking. All DeeDee has to say is no you’re not taking her and if James wants to formally adopt Laila, surely there would be social services involved before the adoption even happens. It’s obvious to everyone that DeeDee wants Laila

I hate all this stuff about dying characters becoming enlightened souls and leaving words of wisdom on video for their dearly departed it was bad enough seeing Sinead pop up on Daniel's laptop all the time.

Aww, sad episode. If Julie DID take her own life though, how did she do it? I also agree that police would have come.

Also think DeeDee is making a mistake letting her brother take her baby. She clearly wants to keep her, and yes, have they actually registered the baby yet? And how could they just take her to America? She's not a piece of clothing they can pop into their suitcase, she's a human being - a citizen. She wasn't born there and she doesn't have American parents.
