DeeDee has had Joels baby, but doesn't want her
And her brother's stepped up to be her dad
But I think she's wavering and getting a bit attached
If she gives her baby up she may be sad.

DeeDee's about to take action for the poor treatment she had
When she was in labour and about to give birth
I hope she gets justice and gets treated right
And gets compensated for what she is worth

Dorin is back, he's incredibly cute
And I have to say DeeDee's baby is too (edit by request)

Daisy and Jenny have proper fallen out

See, that quote alone makes me think I'll not bother catching up with tonight's episode on catch up. More crime/money/who's money now rubbish.

Dom pretended to be bank fraud squad as Jenny was getting cold feet. I can see why he did that, gave her some comfort and “them” some breathing space.

However, I can’t understand how Daisy managed to get Dom to then transfer the money to yet another account (so she could thieve it).

Happily though, that’s the end of the ever moving £60k. I assume half went to Julie/Ryan/Bertie with the other half funding daisy’s new life in Bali.

I liked them!

Daisy double crossed her mum. Christina didn't dob Daisy into the police when she was arrested as Daisy told her the 60k was still up for grabs if they tread carefully. I'm quite pleased she double crossed her mum as she's been a shit mum to Daisy.

It was a nice touch to give some money to Julie/Ryan/Daniel to show she does still have a heart. I have no sympathy for Jenny as she has been pretty vile to Daisy.

A healthy Debbie & Julie would have been a great double act running the Rovers.

Carla will need to sell the Rovers now so queue new characters. It may be Jennie’s name above the door but she doesn’t own it…….I don’t think.

Edited to add, I did wonder about Julie’s look after she arranged to go to the Loch with Eileen. Is this her end?

Great ending/exit for Daisy although unrealistic that all the money and gifts won't be traced.

Yes so pleased Daniel is upset 🤣 Calling Daisy the love of his life when at least 2 others have held that title and he jumped between Bethany and Daisy and back again. He's his father's son, looks down on others all the time when he's no better than anyone. Daisy was great because she called out his entitled and uppity behaviour.

I am so glad to see the back of Daisy, another originally good character ruined. They went big on the awful hair ribbons yesterday. Were we supposed to think she redeemed herself by giving a small chunk of the cash away to deserving recipients? It was not her money to give!

Daisy is one character I never expect to return, thank god for that. If only Daniel had gone with her.

I am a bit worried about Bertie, he looks constantly traumatised. I suppose that is appropriate with Daniel for a dad.😆

At least Julie does look a bit unwell now. With the wheelchair and the yelping I don’t give her much longer. I did like her line to Eileen about being in a relationship with a funeral director yet still being the miserable one.😆

I usually get things wrong 🙄 so this idea is probably no different but when horrible Mick came to the rescue of Liam being bullied and then being seen in a more favourable light by Maria and Gary it occurred to me might have been a set up. 🤔

I thought exactly the same. I was waiting for Mick to say "thanks for that lads" and give them some money.
Although after Swain's warning to look out for lads stealing phones it was obvious someone was about to have a phone stolen during the episode. Such clunky, obvious writing.

I didn't like Mick plying Liam with alcohol behind Maria's back. Odd thing to do unless he's deliberately trying to ruin people.

It would be very unlike Corrie not to reveal Mick had paid the lads within 30 seconds!

He probably did, but even if he didn't he will of course be a total liability. He seems to be grooming Liam, what with being his rescuer and then plying him with vodka. No doubt the next thing will be trying to shag Maria.

Poor Bertie will end up being fostered by Ed and fam ! How many mothers has he had in his short life ? Sorry but the way DD waltzes in and out of her baby’s life always at “dramatic” times is totally stupid and unrealistic. Also glad to see the back of Daisy’s stupid bows

Daisy's leaving outfit was atrocious. The jacket of her heavy wool suit looked like something that Rita would wear. Accessorised with her huge ridiculous bow and principal boy boots too!

Daniel running to the car was priceless !

I am sure she made some comment about that when she was in hospital.

Adoption is something they always do badly on soaps, like it is an informal arrangement that can always be reversed.

I don't think anyone knows about the arrangement with James. I suppose he could take Laila to the States as her uncle... and then what? I don't know how it was supposed to work. And none has bothered to get her a passport. But she isn't going anywhere so they didn't need to bother with those pesky details😆

How has DD managed to recover from her birth/ hysterectomy so quickly? I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago and the recovery took ages. Ok I know they can do them by keyhole but even if it was by keyhole that following a traumatic birth would surely lay someone low for ages!
