Todd has got a new beau, and he looks like a Ken doll
And it turns out he's got a wife too
Things never go smoothly for Todd do they really?
What on earth is he going to do?

Julie's still suffering with cancer it seems,
and Kev is still ill with it - how sad
Now Debbie's very likely got dementia
Which is really very bad.

New guy Mick and his missus are loathsome
I hope they leave really soon
I want to just grab them and drop kick them hard
So they end up on the dark side of the moon

DeeDee has had Joels baby, but doesn't want her
And her brother's stepped up to be her dad
But I think she's wavering and getting a bit attached
If she gives her baby up she may be sad.

DeeDee's about to take action for the poor treatment she had
When she was in labour and about to give birth
I hope she gets justice and gets treated right
And gets compensated for what she is worth

Dorin is back, he's incredibly cute
And I have to say DeeDee's baby is too (edit by request)
I hope they don't turn into little shits
Like the children in Corrie tend to do!

Daisy and Jenny have proper fallen out
Over the pub and money and debts
I wonder who'll end up owning it and running it
I think we should take some bets!

I think that's most of what's going on! (Sorry if I've left owt out!)

Bobby has arrived to look after Lauren.

JaneJeffer · 28/04/2025 20:37

What are the chances of Debbie meeting a woman with dementia outside the hospital?

JewelleryCat · 28/04/2025 20:51

Why doesn’t Lauren just block the number trying to blackmail her?

eggandonion · 28/04/2025 20:59

The cctv...people never think about that!

TellingBone · 28/04/2025 21:05

So that was cheerful. Dementia, 2 x cancer, a dead arm and some bruised ribs.

thenightsky · 28/04/2025 21:21

I zoned out again... why was Eileen on the floor? Please don't let her have some emerging serious medical issue.

She slipped on the oily salad dressing George spilled on the floor.

JellyBeanSpring25 · 28/04/2025 21:35

Loved Debbie tonight:
”Ronnie didn’t fall for my long legs, 22” waist and me perky ya-yas…”

Shellingbynight · 28/04/2025 21:41

What have I just watched. George and Julie wittering on about salad dressing and Eileen taking a prat fall.

Carl’s eyes lit up at the mention of power of attorney so I think we can see where this is going. Poor Debbie, trusting the wrong person. At least they are giving Carl some light and shade, which is something.

But they don’t even care about basic continuity now. Between Debbie chucking Ronnie and the scene when she told Kev & co about it, she’d had a haircut. 😆 Then she went outside and was crying with Carl at the end, and she was pre haircut. I love Debbie’s hair so I always notice it. And it was more interesting than the storylines…

eggandonion · 28/04/2025 21:48

Ronnie will sort things, whilst minding a fast growing new born.

NCTDN · 28/04/2025 21:49

Poor Debbie.

Clawdy · 28/04/2025 22:15

So Debbie would rather hurt Ronnie by telling him she didn’t love him, than tell him the truth and say their relationship needed to end because of the dementia diagnosis. Not good.

Shellingbynight · 28/04/2025 22:18

People in dramas seem to do this all the time, find out they are ill then break up with their partner to 'spare them'. On EastEnders Nigel (dementia) has also done this. I have never heard of anyone in real life doing this - for a start they don't believe they have dementia in the first place.

NCTDN · 28/04/2025 22:19

I think that Debbie wants to keep her dignity and may take herself off to Switzerland Sad

Shellingbynight · 28/04/2025 22:23

She may think about it but Corrie don't have the budget so it's a non starter, sorry Debs.

TheFifthTellytubby · 28/04/2025 22:37

Think the writers really have lost it - did anyone else spot Daniel referring to Jenny as Daisy's "aunt"? I wondered what on earth he was talking about when he accused her of using her "aunt's money to set them up with" - and Daisy didn't seem to spot it either!🙄

Kellywiththelegs · 28/04/2025 22:52

JellyBeanSpring25 · 27/04/2025 00:14

Anyone else get Meg Mortimer/Crossroads Motel vibes every time we see Debbie behind the desk in the Chariot Square Hotel?

The whole show gives me Crossroads vibes these days.

No I don’t think so, in a previous episode Daisy mentioned an aunt who died and was going to come into an inheritance I think as a cover re the fraud.

Kellywiththelegs · 28/04/2025 23:02

Can we cull Corrie and just start a new soap at the Chariot Square Hotel? Debbie needs to have been misdiagnosed of course so she can be Meg Mortimer mark 2.

No problems there. Kev has it sorted, whilst he recovers from cancer and changes spark plugs.

Ah, thanks for explaining that - I'm really having trouble keeping up with the various storylines involving large sums of money, inheritances, trust funds and the financial shenanigans being played out between Jenny, Daisy, Christina and Carla! 😂

eggandonion · 28/04/2025 23:25

Shona and David were somehow involved in the money thing, I am ignoring it all.
Ronnie is my current favourite.

GrandTheftWalrus · 29/04/2025 01:12

I've already told dh that if I'm ever diagnosed with dementia that I'm going to end it on my terms. I never ever want to forget my children. I've also worked in care homes where I've seen the sad decline into it and again it breaks my heart. However he said he wouldn't let me.

I also think my mother is starting it. I can see the signs.

I really wish they would explain how Daniel can get Berties trust fund money back now Daisy has given it to Shona and David, and why Jennie hasn't challenged her about giving it away.

Berties trust fund was something like 260K.

Daisy gave Shona and David 40K, so she had the rest to give back.

It was Daniel/Berties money in the first place so Jennie couldn't really argue about it going back to Daniel and wasn't best pleased with the idea of Daisy and Daniel owning the pub anyway, so I think the 40K to shona/david was irrelevant at that point (or did Daisy come clean about hitting Shona with the car?)

Ah yes, thank you. Daisy did come clean about hitting Shona with the car, I forgot that bit!
So Daniel wrote off the 40k, and wisely kept the rest in the trust fund, which is why Jennie is trying to buy the pub herself. Got it.
