Another ch 5 drama

We love a ch 5 😂

The feud is a new 6 part drama - airing for 3 nights a week x 2 weeks

What can happen when a neighbourly dispute gets out of hand

Jill and Rupert play a couple - Emma and John who fall out with their neighbours Sonja and Alan over extending their kitchen and an extension

The Feud, an upcoming domestic thriller, takes the tension of "nightmare neighbours" and raises it to a whole new level, blending gripping drama with a cast of familiar faces that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Starring Jill Halfpenny and Rupert Penry-Jones, this Channel 5 drama (https://www.yours.co.uk/leisure/celebrity-tv/channel-5-dramas/) is "full of paranoia“ and promises to pull viewers into a world where trust is scarc
e, and every interaction feels like it could ignite a powder keg.

'Emma and John Barnett, who, along with their teenage daughter Beth, appear to live an idyllic life on Shelbury Drive.

They’re close friends with their neighbours, Sonia and Alan, and despite their foibles, are also fond of older couple, Derek and Barbara.

'The close friendships in this seemingly peaceful street prove to be not quite as harmonious as they seem', teases the synopsis.

'When Emma and John decide to add a kitchen extension to their house, things quickly start to spin drastically out of control.

As objections to the plans are raised, unexpected skeletons and life-threatening secrets begin to rise to the surface.

Laced with menace, The Feud reveals how Emma’s aspirational dream turns sharply into obsession, paranoia, and fear. One decision sets in motion events that have unforeseeable consequences for both her and the people living on her street.'

Emma doesn't seem to have much going for her.

She doesn't get on with her father , she's riled the policewoman who's intent on revenge , she's been suspended , her daughter doesn't like her , her husband is having an affair , she's being sent anonymous notes attached to magpies . There's more but need I go on !

Good ole Channel 5 😅

Gloriia · 22/04/2025 18:22

I have to say the photo exhibition was a bit of a damp squib. I realise it was a ruse to upset the daughter with the cheating reveal but there did seem to be people there viewing the exhibits as if it was an event of sorts.

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 18:35

They even had the free wine out to look at the police ladies exhibition on walls that needed plastering badly.
It was all a bit strange how she managed to set it all up.
Although it must have been a hobby as she has all the kit etc.

Strange seeing ‘Del boy’s ‘ partner in it ( Barbara)
Obviously the new kitchen extension isn’t going to go well. The neighbours don’t like change!

Raquel's back with a different Derek! 😂

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 18:52

Oh yes! The husband is a Del ( Derek)
didnt think of that

Seem to remember Raquel being one of the few people who called him Derek (usually because she was cross with him for something or other...😂)

@TheFifthTellytubby. Very clever

I think this is a perfect example of Ch 5 knowing its audience. Loads of us think it’s silly, but don’t give a toss and keep watching - even enjoying it. Personally, I look forward to this kind of stuff! It’s good ‘switch off the work brain” TV.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they read these threads either to gauge reactions and gather ideas. Blondes you should be on commission!

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 21:01

Blonds does deserve some commission! It’s true.
I doubt that I would stick with many of these dramas if it wasn’t for these threads too. People are so witty on here. Makes it worthwhile.

NewAgeNewMe · 22/04/2025 21:05

I agree with the others! Go Blondes!

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 21:12

So Barbara is being mean now !
it goes from bad to worse.

JewelleryCat · 22/04/2025 21:22

Why would Lee still have keys to the house when planning was cancelled? Is Barbara playing along and she knows Emma and John did it to Derek?

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 21:26

I think that Barbara knows they are involved with Derek’s fall. The police lady is being really horrible now too ;(
they are all just so nasty. Especially Peter Barlow!

Think John has a habit of leaving the door unlocked as Alan was able to walk right in.
And as if John would have called Sonia from the garden when Alan could easily overhear. 🙄

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 21:33

Alan could jump that fence easily enough !

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 21:34

Poor Beth ! Tied to an oven , my worst nightmare!

Papergirl1968 · 22/04/2025 21:47

The neighbours are all playing mind games with each other, even Barbara.
Alan has a permanent smirk.
They’re just all so unpleasant, except John who is weak.

BlackBean2023 · 22/04/2025 21:57

Oh….! I thought it was going to be her Dad!

howcanitbetrue · 22/04/2025 21:59

Not quite sure how everything is going to resolve tomorrow night!

We've got a similar cooker. That handle will come off with a bit of force.

Unless it all ties in somehow I'm not sure what the racist police woman adds to the story.

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2025 21:59

Wasn’t expecting that !

JewelleryCat · 22/04/2025 22:15

I thought it’d be John. Poor Alan, what a way to go

Papergirl1968 · 22/04/2025 22:22

Ah well, at least that wiped the smirk off his face.
Yes, I’m sure Beth could pull that cooker handle off.

BlackBean2023 · 22/04/2025 22:24

What did John see? Where has he gone?

MichaelandKirk · 22/04/2025 22:36

On a completely different tack. Binge watched Love Rat over the weekend. It went on a bit but was worth watching. Nothing of the calibre of this though…
